Hopefully he learns and improves. There’s nothing more that can really be said about it. I'm okay if I'm being somewhat hyperbolic, but in reality if I am it isn't by much. If he plays like that again without stacking some really good games I want him benched.

I want him to get the season but if we see that every week? The coaches have a responsibility to try and win as many games as possible and if we see that every week they will have no choice. I think Levis himself is smart enough to understand that he played like crap and it’s a results based business.

He's way too amped every snap, and that became doubly so after the blocked kick. I will say, if Spears converts that 3rd and short (he should have) the game plays out totally differently...but it isn't just about the results. It's the fact any of that happened in the first place alongside other notable short comings (pocket presence, reading the field, taking unnecessary hits...etc). I said the same thing a few pages ago about him being too hyped up. I said it last year too. He’s too amped up play to play. I’m not confident at all that they would have won even if Spears had picked up the first or if Levis didn’t throw the pick six. They were playing like garbage, the Bears had the momentum, the Titans couldn’t move the ball, it wasn’t looking good regardless. So back to the drawing board, me even being able to make a reasonable comparison to any game Willis has played (150 total yards, fumble, 2 it's, one game sealing Pic 6, disobeying coaches mandate, putting body on the line unnecessarily...ect) was not on my bingo card. TerryBoats
Exactly the point I brought up yesterday. The INT was inexcusable, but what expectations do you have out of any QB who would face relentless pressure even against bad teams?
OILERMAN
Levis was plenty bad even without the pick 6 His footwork and mechanics haven’t improved at all IsntLifeFunny, and Supernope

I still think it’s recency bias talking but whatever, we both made our points. I’ll be honest my confidence level in Levis right now is not high. I was as stunned as you were at the performance. Hopefully some of it was opening game jitters. I’m just trying to be positive. Edited September 10, 2024 by scine09

Even without the pic 6 the second half was terrible. Add in him throwing that specific interception and it's a full on dumpster fire.

Last point I feel like you're not including in your calculus: Levis had the expectation of a starting QB. Willis never did.
titanruss
Him drifting left had to be some sort of after shock from last year. He's expecting the left side to be the better side and he's running from the pain. Unfortunately the pain came from the left more than the right on sunday

Bcap88
I think expectations for levis were too high. It was a tough ask but the decision at the end of the game was inexcusable. it’s like we forgot: on the road against a top defense, youngest offensive line in the nfl, new scheme, new receivers and it’s really only levis 10th career start. That’s a tough ask even for a veteran. the end of the day the blocked punt is what lost the game imo titanruss
