It's like they have to generate buzzwords and talk the same language to form a sense of belonging. It doesn't matter how weird it is to outsiders as long as they're signaling to their community. It's a similar but different manifestation of the same thing as when they wear diapers or put huge fake bandages on their ears to feel good about goofy shit dear leader does. "Soup is weak and liberal now? I like soup and that makes no sense but let's run with it to own the libs!" Most of it seems to amount to nothing more than an insecure crying out of "are we still together?" over and over. Luxuriating in one's own ignorance and performative display takes precedence over not looking like a buffoon. Comical but also super weird to observe and as long as they all play along then they always have that sense of belonging. Soupy Derp is specific to you, pussy. IrishTitansFan
Meanwhile, Irelands elections are today. We will elect a socially progressive and fiscally centre, centre-left or centre right government. A great election system, an educated electorate, a less divisive and toxic political culture, a stronger opportunity for ordinary working class people and businesses. That is how we will see a tiny fraction of people vote for radical far right or far left candidates https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ireland-election-2024-immigration-sinn-fein-northern-ireland/ Edited November 29, 2024 by IrishTitansFan No1TitansFan, Jamalisms, chef, and 1 other

It’s my understanding that the corporate income tax rate is much lower in Ireland than the US. How does that jive with your Left brethren in the states who believe we need a much higher corporate tax rate in the states? Why don’t the Left in Ireland want the corporations to “pay their fair share?”

I remember reading about a migrant stabbing a bunch of your children or something. I'm sure there are crazies in all cultures including our own but immigrants should be scrutinized and there should be some sort of background check before letting people in. I'm not going to pretend I know anything about your country. Just hope it works out for the best.

Cupertino mayor told Apple to bring the money back and pay taxes, and Cook told the mayor to give tax break or else, he'll keep it in Ireland. Smart move IMO albeit hypocritical. Pretty funny how even the most progressive companies merely pay lip service to being woke. I'm all for high taxes and the rich need to pay their fair share but my trillion dollar corporation's going to hide our money in Ireland LOL KenAmato58
