MVS is soft and an easy cut this offseason.  He’s basically a 4 or 5 WR getting overpaid.  I don’t care how big he actually is .

Steve Smith was sub 6 feet and he was as tough as anyone.

At the end of the day, you're going to lose players. Dynasty teams always seem to have two things in common: an elite quarterback and the ability to reload the roster consistently.

From winning in 2019 to going into 2020, they kept much of the team the same.  It had to have been among the lowest turnover rates for the Chiefs in the last decade at least.

They went 14-2, #1 seed, then they lost their starting offensive line by the time they got to the playoffs and Reid's son ran into a parked car putting a little girl's life in danger and getting him charged with DUI.

But, they were heavy favorites in the Super Bowl, and then got the shit kicked out of them.  They were too arrogant.  Hill dropped a big pass that would have scored a TD on the first drive, if I remember correctly, and the entire team was pretty nonchalant about everything, until they started to get a couple scores down, and then they started pressing.

In 2021, I think that was the worst team the Chiefs have had with Mahomes as the starter.  They had Hill and a bunch of scrubs at WR.  On defense, they had a lot of players that were long in the tooth, and the secondary needed to be overhauled.  Mathieu was making a lot of business decisions and not willing to stick his nose in the pile to stop the run.  Chiefs were way up on the Bengals and tried to go for the TD at the end of the half.  I don't think they took the Bengals seriously, until they started pressing.

It is interesting to consider that sometimes you need new blood in the organization.  If you have a championship caliber team, it is good to bring in hungry players who want a ring.  If you have a team that lacks success, bringing in someone with a championship pedigree can help establish what the culture should be.  If you have a team that has won a lot, sometimes, they sit on their laurels.  Heck, look at the Chiefs in the regular season losing to the Raiders.  There is no way they lose that game if they are focused.

I think MVS with either be cut or take a pay cut.

What's funny is that MVS was the only starting WR the Chiefs had healthy for the Bengals game last year and he really stepped up and had his best game ever.  This year, he made big catches in the Bills game, the Ravens game and the Super Bowl.

I feel like he is overpaid to be sure, but I think he will be given the opportunity to restructure, not just be cut outright.

Rice sometimes plays big, but since when is 6’, 200lbs considered “big, physical” WR? I’m also saying this considering I loved Rice coming out.

Rice is 6'1" 205 and runs a 4.4. That's good size for speed combo. A big reason a lot of us wanted him in last year's draft.

Found it to be a little interesting that Schefter didn't have Sneed as potential tag candidate for the Chiefs as when he sends out a tweet like that he is basically hinting at who he thinks will be tagged and who won't be.

Regarding the Chiefs it would seem if Jones and or Sneed are going to be there in 2024 it will be because of them re-signing long term contracts rather than via the tag.

Also would be a big hit to the IDL FA group if Madubuike and Wilkins both got tagged, looking at the Ravens cap situation they are probably going to have to move on from Ronnie Stanley or Marlon Humphrey to accommodate Madubuike's tag number.

@dcblantondon’t fret. You haven’t even reached the part of your dynasty where you get a disgruntled super star WR for a 6th round pick who then is the best teammate in the world once he’s on your team. My money is on AJ Brown blowing up the Eagles or just getting Tyreek back for pennies on the dollar. Maybe George Pickens? Since he seems to be a head case. You just gotta hope you get somebody really good before Kelce retires or Mahomes might look human again.

What if y’all traded the farm for Brock bowers???

Imagine if we signed Beckham Jr to go with Hopkins. I'd be trying to sing that Toby Keith song "I ain't as good as I once was, but I'm as good once as I ever was..."

But draft Nabers or MHJ at 7 to go along with them and maybe we'd be alright? I doubt it just because I doubt how much OBJ still has in the tank... and also because I'm sure OBJ is still as much of a head case as he's always been... but a guy can daydream Madden fantasies all day, right?
