I'll say it.  WTF would anyone want to acquire and pay Lamar Jackson?  He's not come close to his 2019 season production wise and for as much grief as people give guys like Tannehill, Cousins, and Dak

Lamar got tagged on March 7th before free agency opened and didn't receive the first offer.  The calendar isn't his problem.    It's his recent performance, cost, injury history, and the fac

How does the first round pick thing work if you have multiple? Like most of the teams that need a QB are picking early and thus have valuable picks. Can you trade into the late first and use that one for this year then just trade your actual pick next year? Or does it have to be two of your original picks? Or is it automatically the first two picks available (i.e. if you have two this year, then both of them)?

Plainly asking because I feel like it would have made a lot of sense for the Saints to do this if they are allowed to give up their 29 (via trade) this year and a first next year since they already gave Carr a payday (Lamar would be more, but I'm confident Loomis could figure it out).

Now we see if any other owner wants to break ranks and offer a 5yr fully guaranteed contract like Haslam did with Deshaun Watson.

Stephen Ross maybe?

Snyder?

Typically teams negotiate a trade instead of the pure match / give up 2 picks.

NO will have no interest now.  IMO, Lamar's about to get a rude awakening.  His list of suitors is going to be a lot smaller than he probably thinks it is.

Or Lamar simply playing on the tag and maybe doing a Kirk Cousins....

He could also hold out until the ravens agree not to franchise him again next year. Of course he would be much better informed of his options and market interest if the dumb fuck had an agent.

Pretty sure that's not how this works lol.

They could easily trade 1st round picks in 2024 and 2025. Also, Ravens and Dolphins can negotiate the trade as well.

You would hope Florio checked on that before tweeting it out but who knows.

There has been rumours around for ages that the Dolphins are Jackson's preferred destination.
