tgo
You love to see it. Ukrainian forces have made some major advancements this weekend already - re-taking a couple villages and reportedly cutting off one of the Ukrainian lines of advance by taking a town between Kherson and another city which the Russians are using as a hub. reo
IsntLifeFunny
Pretty terrible sign for multiple reasons when Putin’s advisors are saying this. His use of the word depressed likely stems from the fact he knows there’s no way back now.

At the same time, it signals that he’s rapidly losing power. Regardless of the change from state centric discipline to dictator the ethos of the Russians has not changed a bit. They want discipline more than anything, and what’s happening in Ukraine and back in Russia is the opposite. reo
reo
https://cepa.org/putin-places-spies-under-house-arrest/ Looks like this might've been at least in part bc they're blaming them for poor intel going into Ukraine.

Also, that the loss of 3 major generals in 2 weeks has ramped up the need to find a scapegoat. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/russian-spy-chiefs-putin-security-b2034350.html reo, and IsntLifeFunny

OILERMAN
@tgo's true Republican nature is coming out in this thread. He's a hawk ready for war and occupation, it's his true nature. He's trying to carry on the John McCain legacy..... The Biden administration, in my below average knowledgeable formed opinion, has done a great job in leading the way with sanctions and non lethal support to help Ukraine defend it's self as much as possible while keep us out of it militarily. It's been the perfect scenario all things considered. tgo, Mythos27, Jerry Blair, and 1 other 3
