NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WTVF) — What was in Tennessee Congressman Andy Ogles' college transcript that he didn't want you to see?

NewsChannel 5 Investigates now has the answer.

Among the findings: the freshman Republican is a self-proclaimed economist who, it turns out, only took one community college Economics course, which he barely passed. And it reveals that he still hasn't been telling the truth about his college degree.

This is my congressional representative in the House.  Yes, I voted.  What is it about competent intelligent people that frightens the GOP today?  Really, you don't see the compassionate Republican anymore.  I think there has always been capable leadership in both parties until now.  Fake News!  Coming soon to the SCOTUS!!

This guy is kind of the local George Santos. His lies aren’t on the same scale, of course, but he completely lied about his education.

Not sure why he’d even bother. Republicans oppose education and qualifications in the first place.

Former President Donald Trump holds gargantuan leads over his Republican rivals in a new poll, beating Florida Governor Ron DeSantis (R) by 30 points in a full field, and crushing former South Carolina Governor and Trump UN Ambassador Nikki Haley by 61 points in another matchup.

It was not long ago that many analysts were writing political obituaries for Trump in the wake of a chaotic Speaker of the House election and post-midterm soul-searching. Since then, DeSantis has soft-launched his presidential campaign and Haley officially launched hers.

But those developments have not only failed to make a dent in Trump, recent polls show he stands to steamroll the Republican field — none more so than a new Emerson College poll that shows  Trump almost doubling DeSantis:

In the 2024 Republican Primary, President Donald Trump continues to hold 55% of the vote. This number reflects his standing in the January Emerson poll, as well as the June 2022 Emerson poll. A quarter of Republican primary voters (25%) support Florida Governor Ron DeSantis for the GOP nomination, a four point decrease since last month when he held 29% support. Former Vice President Mike Pence holds 8%, and former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley holds 5%. Both Pence and Haley have increased their support by two percentage points since last month.

Four recent polls have, however, shown a “Trump bump”: Emerson put the former president ahead 55%-25%, Yahoo/YouGov made it 47%-39%, Echelon Insights had it 46%-31% and Fox News put Trump up 43%-28%.

Absolutely laughable that Republicans still cling to Trump in this way

It’s not like they have something else to cling to. Trump excited them. No one else in the party is able to do that.

DeSantis is doing what he can to “own the libs” to try to win their devotion, but he’s just not the same…

He's got less charisma than Al Gore and 'low energy Jeb' which is saying something.
