I used to be an independent because I believed in the idea of less government intervention and lower taxes on the working class. Seeing as the tax cut for corporations is still in effect while tax cuts for the working class have ended I would say the Republicans don't represent the working class. Seeing as the Republicans want government intervention in things such as women's rights and what books library's can keep they also don't represent less government intervention.  If I had to sum it up, I have zero idea what the Republicans stand for except for grievance politics.
