Also... we're not "sending billions of dollars" to Ukraine. We're sending billions of dollars of old equipment to Ukraine. Huge difference.

But that would involve facts instead of blatantly omitting pertinant details to generate clicks and/ro rile up their base.

DeSantis poll number are slipping vs. Trump.  One big reason, he's afraid to answer/criticize Trump because he knows he will need his voters in  the general.

He also cannot announce he is running without resigning because of the "Resign to Run" law in Florida.

He is trying to push through some legislation that would bolster his case with conservatives.  If successful, I assume he will announce.

I've been wondering about that and now it all makes sense. It wouldn't surprise me if he waits till the end of the year and then unilaterally bypasses the law as a show of strength. The pubs will love that shit.

Trump can pretty openly attack him, but so far he hasn’t found any way to respond. Thus far it appears to be working.

DeSantis faces a dilemma.  Remain silent, suffer the attacks and look weak.  Or, attack Trump and piss off his hard core supporters.  There is no easy answer for him.

It's disgusting yet hilarious they all find themselves in this predicament. They had a 2 week grace period to incise the tumor, and much like Fox they decided their own personal well being (power) was more important. And in the same vein they allowed the mob to dictate their actions.

There is only one answer. Punch Trump in his mouth and take up the mantle of fake grievance. DeSantis is just too big a pansy to do it.

DeSantis needs Trump voters for the general election so he can't go after Trump. There are a lot of Trump supporters who aren't even Republicans and won't even show up in the general if it's not Trump already.

I think the 2022 Mid Terms had to terrify Republicans. For them to do so poorly in that political environment(Inflation, Biden's approval rating etc....) is dire.
