No I don't think that has anything to do with super rich. It is the top 1.8% of income earners though.    Also if you think the proposals to raise the taxes on people making that much are ex

A couple of years ago, I was  late for a conference call with colleagues in Germany and India. After joining the call and apologizing for being late. Someone from India said, "just be like Trump and say Obama made you late". Someone from Germany said, "be like Trump and say you were on time, but everyone was early."

That is just another example of how aware other countries were of Trump's behavior and how they viewed him.

I have. It just stands out to me because prior to Trump becoming POTUS, they rarely discussed politics or felt comfortable enough to crack a joke at the POTUS.

Definitely not shocking to us, but apparently it is to Democrats since they don't have a response.

What's the conceivable response?

Nuke the filibuster, somehow manage to get all Dems on board (will never happen), and then make a public push to expand the court and then get hosed in the next two election cycles?

The right response to me is to just pull the same shit when there's a Dem Senate Majority and a Republican president.

It's hard to have a response when you're the "big tent" party full of scattershot agendas.

Breyer not falling in line and retiring the minute 50 Dem senators were sworn in is yet another example of this.

I think there are a lot of conceivable responses and the problem is as you point out that Democrats won't do any of them.
