This is pretty common in the modern world.  Approval ratings tend to fall from a previous high.  Bush had an anomaly with 9/11, approval shooting up, but dropped afterwards.  
 

Trump’s just kind of stayed low and semi flat.    
 

The COVID issue is going to draw down the numbers, which is confusing as people that refuse to take the vaccine….I mean how is that his fault?
 

Afghanistan withdrawal is getting a lot of negative press, but unless there’s big US fatalities during the withdrawal, this will fade.  The majority of people agree with the withdrawal.  6 months from now this won’t affect the polls.  
 

As inflation subsides and economic growth continues, it’ll trend upward a little.  
 

COVID is going to ravage the nation, and that’ll be seen as a negative.  But I don’t know what he can do about it.  The people that won’t get the vaccine aren’t going to until someone they are close to dies from it, even if then.

How about not letting hundreds of thousands, many with covid into the country? Why not ban flights from the countries where delta became prevalent? Why not test all international passengers? Do you even understand the spread of delta? Unvaccinated does not equal covid positive. If you were serious about covid, you would not let thousands of infected people into the country and then spread them around the country. That is exactly the wrong thing to do during a pandemic. As for my party, I am conservative but I am not a member of any party. But why don't you rail against blacks, the majority of which are unvaccinated? Do they get a rhetorical pass from the left because of political correctness? Why don't you call them mouthbreathering idiots? You know why. Remember herd immunity? I believe in it but the numbers recently make it more difficult to explain. The majority of Americans have had the vaccine. Combined with the natural immunity, we should have already gotten to the herd immune phase but we have not. Why? Because we have essentially a new virus. Brand new. Came over under Joe. So quit blaming anyone other than Joe and his administration and Fauci that has become someone many just ignore. We used to have an attending physician at the old General Hospital that we as residents nicknamed WEFT. How about Joe start Operation Warp Speed 2 and find a vaccine that truly is effective against Delta? I am sure he is capable of that. If someone can just take the time to explain it slowly for him. Never underestimate Joe"s ability to fuck it up.

The explanation is simple. Americans are addicted to "conservative" Republicans, and the national media has been flooding the news cycle with Republican talking points since January 6th, even rehabilitating many republican congressmen/etc who wanted to overturn the election.

I criticize anyone that doesn't get vaccinated.  The problems you are having is math. 

The percentage of black population is 13.4%. Percentage of white population is 60.3%  50% of white people have been vaccinated and 40% of black people have been vaccinated.   18 million black people versus 98 million white people.  98>>>18.  Who's the bigger problem, doc?

Trump denied the seriousness of the virus for months.  "It's going to go away".  Did Biden say any of the shit Trump said?  Instead of downplaying the virus, he could have made a public face of seriousness, and maybe a good percentage of you Trump supporters would be taking it more seriously now.

We don't have heard immunity because the vaccine doesn't make you immune.  It does help to keep you from getting it, and help in spreading it to others, but it mainly keeping people from becoming sicker.  

That said, even if the vaccine were to completely prevent a person from getting it, you have to consider where the outbreak is....

 

In the areas where people are mostly unvaccinated and do not take it seriously.  

We'll get to herd immunity eventually, along with a flow of deaths and despair.
