smokeater Posted December 5, 2020 Report Share Posted December 5, 2020 I will say him knowing for the rest of his life he got his team disqualified from the playoffs will be exponentially worse than whatever punishment he gets for the assault. Sucks for the rest of the team, especially seniors, unless there are other mitigating circumstances concerning the team that haven’t come out yet. I guess the hope is by disqualifying the entire team maybe it will bring even more attention to the fact that this just can not happen. Not much you can do about a kid getting hot if it happens fast or you don’t see it, but if a coach sees one of his kids getting that hot headed or has a kid that he knows runs hot, maybe he can stop it before it goes too far as this did. Near the end of the game he blew his whistle and the crowd was up screaming obscenities at him. He ran toward the fans and was engulfed like the Red Sea did Pharaoh's men. He reappeared looking like he'd been wrestling a bear. Back in those days he didn't get stomped, but he swallowed his damn whistle. Later, he found his car had four flats. We won the title. Have you (or anyone for that matter) listened to the Whistleblower podcast? It's about the NBA ref betting scandal and how the league is closer to the WWE (predicted outcomes) than it is to an actual sport. It's insane. Highly recommend it. Somedude Posted December 5, 2020 Report Share Posted December 5, 2020 Had a game rigged against us. Refs kept calling such obvious BS. It was so clear something was up. My coach who was typically very calm,lost his mind and got ejected from the game. Thankfully the other team was too stupid to win the game they were rigged to. We still won...barely. Someone filmed the whole game. It went to a review board. I was a witness to some of calls. Coach was cleared. I never found out the end result but I think they tried to bury it.
