A signing here is purely for the money, or this could be a smokescreen to start a bidding war. Being there are only 4 teams, this gets ridiculous if we are still waiting for an answer late next week. Yeah but private charter to the opposite coast is very pricey. And if you don't get a big enough plane you'll need to make a fuel stop. Would need a midsize jet or larger to avoid a fuel stop. Or is he specifically trying to get more out of the Titans? Since the Rams are in a tougher cap situation it seems like he's unlikely to squeeze more out of them. It's been reported just to sign him to their offer they'll have to release or restructure existing player contracts. They just don't have much flexibility. Plus, the Titans offer already existed to apply leverage with. Same argument applies to the Saints. They are even more cap strapped. However the Titans offered more than the Saints or Rams and have the most flexibility to throw in even more money. But there was no pressure to make a higher offer until the Jets came along. The Titans still offer the best mix of money and team quality though. Obviously I'm being a homer but to me the Titans might be in the sweet spot. He's trying to squeeze every penny at this point. He's saying Jets have the highest offer but no visit set up, he moved pretty quickly for all his other visits.
