That was a great podcast.

yep really enjoyed the discussion on the offensive issues.

have a feeling some time soon the discussion shifts to whether the benefits of continuity under the same offensive scheme for Mariota aren't enough to keep Mularkey around.

I feel the need to go back to the podcast I was on last year after the close win against Detroit early in the season, and see if that one was just as much Scotty blaming Mariota and the rest of us acknowledging Mariota wasn't good but trying to look beyond him as I remember it being.

Actually I said they won't be tested. Everyone judges them. Some of us just aren't dumb enough to judge them as lacking when they are dominating opponents while simultaneously excusing every pathetic performance by Malarkey's offense.

And I was wrong. As pathetic as the offense is, our defense is under intense pressure and tested weekly.

Great podcast, love the banter back in forth. I generally side with the scheme as the bigger problem but I can’t deny all of Oman’s points. Some of which are great observations. Good dialogue as always fellas, you guys always seem to have a good pulse of the board included in there which is nice.

Didn't OMAN say early in the podcast that the offense was the same as last year and then later in the podcast talk about how they've changed the offense? :35_thinking:

Same offense, my point was last year Mariota was the focal point, they attacked with him. This year they are hiding him and trying to work around him. My question was/is why? What did they see early on that let them know he can't play as well as he did last year?

BTW, something else I meant to bring up. Last year they played way more empty sets, more hurry up etc.....

I listened to Evan Silva yesterday and he believes Carr and Mariota are both struggling because of the injuries. Ironically(not really) both fan bases are blaming the play calling and scheme

Definitely one of my favorite podcasts to date.  When you guys don't agree, it forces you out of your comfort zone and you have to explain your positions more carefully and everyone dives into the nuance more.

Always enjoy the podcast.  Even if Jamal's audio is shit ;).

Google has let Hangouts wither on the vine.  Unfortunately.

I've searched and searched for an alternative. I love it for the fact that it lets us stream live on youtube and it's archived almost instantaneously, which means I can immediately pull the audio and get the podcast ready for upload. It definitely has a few annoying quirks.

I'd actually prefer to use an iPad when we're recording, but it won't let me take a call live from the iPad app. Lets me set up everything and even call people, but won't let me make it live.
