Is this going to end with bitcoiners taking pictures of golf clubs and themsleves not wearing shirts?

It won't end.. not in our lifetimes. It'll dip -pretty big at some point. You will laugh and try and make fun of people for it but they aren't bothered. Then 3-5 years later it will be 10x where it is now and you will still be in denial.

same story - different year. Just check this thread history. We are trying to help you.

My panties weren't rifled. I cringed reading your obsessive cult like devotion but I'm totally fine.

For those of you that still don't get it re: dogecoin...

it's an easy way to consolidate cash and raise quick money to throw back into Bitcoin. I've made 12k on doge this year and I feel stupid/weak that it wasn't more. As soon as it came out on Robinhood I would use leftover cash from stock buys to purchase doge ... 3-5 bucks at a time. Sometimes I'd put actual money in but not much. Said I'd hodl until it his $1.. Had about $1500 invested at one point. Thatd be worth

~ 180k as of one point this morning. Of course I sold at various pumps because I didn't realize what was really going on.

it will his a couple dollars I'm sure.

Lol.... Of course my dumbass doge owning coworker talked to me this morning about fears of inflation ruining the entire economic system globally and it's imminent collapse that "worries" him.

Keep in mind, this is the same dumbass who is worried about the government taking all his guns, lives out in the woods and would mention to me dumb Q things that were going on. But yeah, let's try to convince everyone that cyrpto is the way to go because the way governments are handling their business.

There are ways to sell something and there are ways to convince others not to listen to you.

I suspect this bitcoin-mania is being fueled by many parts with the Qanon types being one of those parts, they are parts are people down on their luck who think the system is to blame.

I think all parts have something in common, they believe inflation is completely a monetary event - I am close to the opposite, I think inflation occurs from real things, supply shocks in production variables with monetary variables having little to no affect on inflation.

Another things I think they have in common, which if explored makes their argument silly, is that they think the governments, central banks, fiat money, and other elements of society's financial systems, summarized as "the elites" is what is driving this, and that bitcoin is the counter to it.   So their argument is "the elites", who hold a larger percentage of money than other groups, are trying to lower the value of their money and lower it by great amounts - that makes sense to them????

If there is any design to the so-called elites' plans, which I do not think there is, they would  want the opposite.  They would want deflation, so their money goes up in value, keep wages down so the rest of society gets smaller pieces of the pie, lowering prices on real assets so that they can acquire more, which would allow them to create monopolies so that they can earn higher than markets rents on that ownership, etc.

Bitcoin would move toward those goals.  Bitcoin would be the currency of choice for elites and lock them into power with greater leverage if it was widescale accepted.  It would become the new banker's money, which brings up some history, that the bitcoiners appear to not know.

Since banking and mercantile lending occurred, gold was dubbed banker's money.  Why?  Because lending out a scare and limited form of money meant banks would acquire real assets.  It was guaranteed.  Lend a community X amount of gold charging interest, with all of the communities incoming gold controlled by your mercantile activities means that community cannot repay all that gold plus interest. So the banks would be guaranteed to acquire real assets, land mainly.

Bitcoin would do the same if it truly replaced fiat.  The so-called elites would acquire real assets at an even faster pace than the austerity economic systems most of us have had our entire lives allow.  Deflation the real problem and the one haunting all of us for 40+ years, would get worse and the wealth and power of "elites" would grow.

Farmers recognized this off and on, peaking their understanding in the end of 1800s, when they pushed for silver back currency over gold backed.  They did not envision fiat but they knew the need to move toward it by having a currency backed by something more readily available than gold, so that money could be expanded.   Go read about silver-back advocated in the late 1800s and early 1900s. Wizard of Oz* was supposedly written  as an analogy to that struggle with the different characters symbolizing different factions that wanted to move away from gold - i.e. the yellow brick "gold" road led to the man behind the curtain.

*Hugh Rockoff suggested in 1990 that the novel was an allegory about the demonetization of silver in 1873, whereby “the cyclone that carried Dorothy to the Land of Oz represents the economic and political upheaval, the yellow brick road stands for the gold standard, and the silver shoes Dorothy inherits from the Wicked Witch of the East represents the pro-silver movement.

When Dorothy is taken to the Emerald Palace before her audience with the Wizard she is led through seven passages and up three flights of stairs, a subtle reference to the Coinage Act of 1873 (ended bimetallism coinage, leaving only gold) which started the class conflict in America.”[13]

How could your words be so elegant but so clueless?  Bitcoin was around long before qAnon and will be around long after. It's being fueled currently all over the world - not just in crazy America. It's getting bought up by Fortune 500 companies, investment firms, banks and insurance companies putting it in their portfolios. The retail boom already happened - before Qtards. It's just continuing its pace there. (Q people get kicks thinking they are ahead of the curve.. even blind squirrels find nuts sometimes.. except y'all of course)

no one is saying it will replace fiat.. just that fiat is shit. There will be many many currencies and coins all instantly traded and converted for almost zero fee. You will just have more major stores of value (btc, eth, real estate, etc)

The current economic situation is as simple as... print more money.. price go up. Wealth is consolidated at the top because of how the current system is built (every stat you can find shows the ever growing wealth gap) price of goods doesn't matter when you get all the free cash you want at the top. Inflation can occur and not bother the rich at all.

you say yourself there is no giant plan from the Uber rich (elites is a terrible term) .. which is correct. They are clueless and just holding on to what they have and wanting to maintain their life. Wages aren't increasing with inflation and prices btw.

The solution to that is occurring.... people have more access to investment options now than ever before. Trade crypto and stocks instantly and nearly free - never could happen before. you had to be given a special right to do so - you had to be rich enough to even participate before.

therefore in changing systems volatility occurs. Massive stampedes flowing in and out on most any tip or trend. This mass can be utilized to take back some control to the people... just like any political or social revolution and change. The people can win because there are more. See wsb and Melvin capital.

The current system is infinitely more broken than the system you are scared of ocurring/failing in 50-100 years time. By then there will be improvements yet again and a better thing will have arrived.

until then your savings will whittle away while mine grows exponentially. Have fun with that.
