Sounds like a great way to get neither. I wouldnt mind true tax reform if it was revenue neutral. Thing is the GOP just wants tax cuts. Calling it tax reform is disingenuous. Too bad they won’t just work on the bipartisan bill (Murray-Alexander?). Trump ran as a fucking deal maker! Shouldn’t he try to, ya know, make some deals? At the point people realized they could get insurance and not have to worry if they got sick in order to maintain it, it was over. As much as people voted down an uninspiring Hillary, they also voted to break free from the gridlock and were hopeful to have a single party in control and, if needed, to hold them accountable. It's been 9 months without any substantive legislation wins marked by a capstone of a 3x failure of a 7 year promise that was supposed to be done in January. "No one knew healthcare was this complicated" and "we're not going to own it" are the takeaways from our leader.
