Some of the biggest complaints at the time, and I kid you not, were that the tape protestors used to put up signs would cause MILLIONS of dollars of damage to the walls. It was reported as fact.
 
They later announced that the protestors had used a special, safe tape specifically to prevent that damage. $0 damage to the walls.

Trump paid for the planning, incited the crowd and directed them down the street to attempt to overthrow the government.  No amount of excuse making or diversions changes who Trump and his supporters are....seditionists and traitors to democracy.

Trump had his sheep pegged correctly.  He led an insurrection and most his party still don't think it's his fault.  Incredible really. 

So when the vast majority of media, social media, tech is aligned with one party, refuse to report or allow commentary that goes against their views, propagates bullshit against another party, uses cancel culture to shout down anything that threatens their orthodoxy, label anyone that disagrees fascist, racist, homophobe, etc. youre ok with that?

From Axios: The lobbying firm run by Trump ally Matt Schlapp brought in $750,000 in the final two weeks of 2020 from a former top Trump fundraiser and convicted fraudster who retained Schlapp to lobby — unsuccessfully — for a presidential pardon.
Why it matters: The substantial sum that the former fundraiser, Georgia's Parker "Pete" Petit, paid to Schlapp's Cove Strategies shows how valuable connections to Donald Trump were in his final days in office for wealthy felons seeking clemency from the outgoing president.
What's new: Lobbying disclosure recordsfiled on Thursday said Schlapp, a close informal Trump adviser, worked on a "request for a pardon and other public policy issues relating to criminal justice."
The disclosure filing, which covered the last two weeks of 2020, said that Schlapp had contacted just one government office on Petit's behalf: the Executive Office of the President.
Petit was not on the list of the nearly 150 pardons and commutations that the White House released during Trump's final days in office.
Schlapp didn't respond to inquiries about the other policy work he reported performing on the account.
The backstory: Petit, a former Atlanta health care executive, co-chaired the Trump campaign's 2016 fundraising operation in Georgia.
A federal court convicted him of securities fraud in November. The charge carries a maximum sentence of 20 years in prison.

He didn’t meet the 2 million requirement. The idiots thought they could get pardoned for a failed insurrection (he doesn’t like losers) while the guy who funneled 750k couldn’t get off. Stupidity at its finest. 

There certainly is something to be said for the fact that nuking the filibuster is a double edged sword we may be impaled on if Republicans re-gain control in the near future but you're right. I'm really curious how long the 2-3 Democrat Senators who oppose abolishing the filibuster can hold out. They could be responsible for holding up Biden's entire Domestic agenda. I get wanting to try bipartisanship first but there needs to be a time limit. If the Dems squander their advantage they deserve to lose the House and the Senate in 2022. Grow some balls and make people's lives better. Doing so will put the GOP at a severe disadvantage.
