Who are we most excited about in training camp this year?

Thats the point. Ayomanor is at best WR4 behind Tate, Robinson, and Dike. Throw in Ridley and Ayomanor is WR5. Unless there is a major injury, hes not getting enough reps let alone targets to show out.

Worry not, there will be injuries aplenty!

His hands are just different. His 0.0% drop rate was no fluke. If the ball touches his hands it just sticks like glue.

Ayomanor was a 4th round project(end of the 4th round). He never should have led the team in targets. Forced targets and playing time on a terrible team with no WRs doesn't equal quality play.  He pla

Ayomanor is strictly an X, Dike and Robinson don't factor into his play.

Tate is obviously the starting X with Oliver/Ayo to battle behind him

You cant say he's at best 4 behind Dike yet - especially considering their production and use last season.....and everyone knows what Wandale is. He could be solid but most Giants fans and football analysts think Wandale is not very good. There's plenty of opportunity for Ayo if he takes steps to develop this offseason

I doubt a single giants fan given the chance would take ayo over robinson, if they had kept him I dont think they would even be talking smack about him. He wont be making to many highlight reels but he is pretty damn dependable.

You keep forgetting Ayo was a rookie. One they expect to develop.

I also argued with several on Reddit during a dart vs cam conversation and most thought we had a better WR group than them after Nabors went down. They laughed when I said Wandale was more productive and better than anyone we had last year - even after I talked about our starters being 3 rookie 4th rounders.

Ayo also had a much better rookie season than Wandale and has had more game experience going into year two.

So yeah, there's arguments to be made IF Ayo is developing.

But sure, of course Wandale will get more chances THIS  year as he knows the coach and the offense.

Well, they are just retarded then.

I get he was a rookie but his lows were really damn low, feet sticking out of the ground in Australia low. If it was just a play here or there that would be one thing but it was once or twice a week and that was his same problem in college, some great, some terrible and very little in between.

That's surprising. Not that I keep up Giants fans opinions on anything or that I'm aware of the analysts take on him, but that's troublesome if we just signed a guy to $20M a year to not be very good.

What's the reasoning?

Nate Tice doesn't like him at all. You can watch him do our offseason recaps with him while he's discussing with non-titans media and he says he blows analytically, thinks we way overpaid, and is JAG. ... I'd assume that means he thinks he was being schemed open.

I haven't watched Wandale at all, but Nate coupled with the Reddit guys reactions (likely because they were trying to glaze Dart over Cams years ) has me questioning it some.  I thought he was pretty productive in a rough spot.

Counting Ayo out so early seems silly.  No, he wasn't very good, but neither was Dike and Ridley. Tate looks like he could be a badass but he's also a rookie... add in the Wandale stuff and it's not like the guy doesn't have multiple pathways to get a lot of reps. What he does with that remains to be seen.

#1  The Man.  His team.  His second year.  How quick the ball is coming out and see a little more height on it.

**Gunner Helm. I found one pic where he appears to have bulked up a little.

“Most Giants fans.”  You maybe talked to or saw opinions of significantly less than 1% of Giants fans.

Wandale led the league in slot yardage and was really good inside. That's where Cam is best throwing the ball. He's extremely overpaid imo but he does fit well with what they plan on doing. Wandale also did well running patterns underneath the coverage Nabors drew, I'd expect the same concepts with Tate. Once Nabors went down and Wandale played more outside some of the metrics were not good(average depth of target) but he was asked to do more than he should have been.

Tice isn't someone I watch but either way I'm taking what he and the Reddit regime has to say with a grain of salt. I know Wan only just finally got over the 1k yard mark his last year for them, but he was injured the first year and a half of his time there, not to mention having to deal with shitty QB play for most of that time.

Daboll thought highly enough of him to want to bring him here. Whether we should trust Daboll's judgement remains to be seen, but while people are bitching because we overpaid, keep in mind you always overpay in free agency. And with inflation being what it is these exorbitant contracts will only get bigger. He's younger (25) and got paid roughly the same as Doubs (26) and Shaheed (27). It's not a horrible contract given context.
