Tate....and the others are outside the top 10 for me.

Man that would be a hefty price the 49ers would have to pay to move up to #4.

He is trending as the number 1 guy the closer we get. I also never bought the hype with MHJ. I had rome over him in that draft, by a small margin, but still ahead.    Guys tate's size are se

Because none of them are worthy of the #4 pick. I think the gap between these guys and the end of the 1st or 2nd round guys isnt very big. These guys would be great if we were picking around #15.

Tate is the only one in consideration for the #4 pick. I think he is a long skinny WR who lacks explosiveness. I think he is a contributor but not a game changer at WR. He is better suited as a #2 which is what he has been his whole career at Ohio st. I don't see him as being the guy in the NFL.

Next years draft class is looking a lot stronger. We will see what we do with Ridley and the FAs. I would be very surpirsed if we dont sign 1 or 2 of the top guys available in FA

The FA WR class isn’t that great. Unless you are trying to pry Pickens from the Cowboys.

Several guys but no elite talent. Pickens isn't going to hit FA. I would be shocked if we don't pick up Jennings or Wan'dale Robinson. Pierce and Doubs are solid WRs.

Aiyuk, Tyreek, Deebo, etc. likely look to go to winners.

If you think free agency is poor for WRs, take a look at the WRs who play on the outside at pick #35. Unless Cooper is available, you are probably picking from Bazzell, Bernard, Fields or Sarratt.  None of whom seem like BPA.

Then there is the distinct chance that the Titans need to find a WR in both free agency and the draft.

After displaying better than expected athleticism at the Senior Bowl some view Malachi Fields as an early to mid 2nd round guy.

@ctm Did you see Daniel Jeremiah after finally finishing his evaluation on Omar Cooper Jr put him at #19 on his latest big board released today.

Yea, I posted earlier that I though Cooper was 50/50 at best to make it to #35.  Depending on him to be available isn't a good plan, imo.

I would probably take Chris Bell if Cooper and Boston were gone. That is how much I disdain taking any of the other WRs at 35.

He tore his ACL in late November.  When will he be able to fully contribute?  IIrc, recovery is 9-12 months but it can take 1.5 years for a player to completely return to normal and fully trust his knee.  Do you really want to use the 2nd round pick on a guy whose 2026 contribution is to be determined?

Its pretty noticeable that the early FA/franchise tag moves have been heavily offensive centric so far teams know there is a massive demand for OT/WR and offensive weapons this offseason.

Now reduce the availability of WRs down to guys who play on the outside.

Fields is a coin flip of a prospect if I have ever seen 1. Going to make someone look really smart or a total idiot if he goes high 2nd.
