Green. The 6-foot-4, 190-pounder is a playmaker extraordinaire. He's a polished receiver for his age and is a difficult matchup for any defensive back. He's got the speed to stretch a defense, as well as incredible hands and a tremendous vertical. As a sophomore, Green caught 75 passes for 1,422 yards (19 yards per catch) and 16 touchdowns. He led Summerville to the Big 16 state final and was named to The Associated Press All-State team for the second consecutive season. He was five star by every single recruiting service and coveted by every single major program. Both Tate and Green are viewed similarly at the same stage of their careers. Pretty much anyone that follows football at all knew who AJ Green was. Looks like they were both top blue chippers coming out of high school, but coming out of college - seem to be on two totally different levels. I don't know, it just seems like because we need a top WR folks are saying "well this guy Tate is the top rated one so we need to get him" and then stretching to justify such a pick. I feel like a top 5 drafted WR should be a no-brainer that jumps off the page. Now I guess the problem is there is really nobody like that when we pick at 4, WR or otherwise. Other than perhaps Love. On 3 had him as a 5 star, #3 WR #16 overall. Comparing rankings between years is meaningless. Some years the no.5 guy at one position might be better than the no.1 guy the following year. I feel like Borgonzi and his staff have a profile on WR's that prioritizes speed. Especially if they are considering them in the top 5.
