Carnell Tate was very highly regarded out of high school. I was very disappointed when he chose Ohio State over Tennessee. What are you talking about? He was considered by some the best at his position or at least top 5 WR in the nation  out of high school.

And AJ Green was the #1 WR out of HS. Not the same as "highly regarded"

Love immediately makes you a more explosive team. He's going to add 10-20 TDs a year through the run and pass game. He's going to upgrade your pass protection. He's going to force teams to account for

The Jaguars gave up what again for Travis Hunter? This notion we should take less capital is kind of mind boggling. If a team wants to move then they need to pay the full price.

Tate was a consensus five star top 20 player in the country. There is no difference. Cut your losses, you made an idiotic comparison.

Reese is a late 1st round pick.  Nolan Smith was 2 inches shorter and 3 pounds lighter, but with slightly longer arms and more athleticism.  Exactly what is the justification for him being the #30 pick and Reese going in the Top 5?

Watching him play football lol

He's not on AJ Green's level

Green became one of Georgia's all-time best receivers in only three seasons, catching 166 passes for 2,542 yards and 23 touchdowns. Offensive coordinator Jay Gruden said the Bengals considered Green the top-ranked offensive player "by a landslide."

Final word: Green may have missed seven games over the past two seasons, but he has left his mark on the record books at Georgia. Missing time due to injury and then a suspension would leave a negative mark on most scouting reports, but Green is simply too good to overlook or downgrade for minor issues.

Green’s combination of size and strength remind many, us included, of former Miami Hurricane Andre Johnson. Johnson was the No. 3 overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft. A.J. Green could hear his name called even earlier.

Few rookies will have the opportunity to contribute as quickly as Green, and perhaps no player in this draft is better suited to play in the NFL immediately.

He's just completely stuck on Love and nervous Tate might be the guy...

There are many talented players in the Class of 2008, but we think nobody is better than Summerville (Summerville, S.C.) wide receiver A.J. Green. The 6-foot-4, 190-pounder is a playmaker extraordinaire.

He's a polished receiver for his age and is a difficult matchup for any defensive back. He's got the speed to stretch a defense, as well as incredible hands and a tremendous vertical. As a sophomore, Green caught 75 passes for 1,422 yards (19 yards per catch) and 16 touchdowns. He led Summerville to the Big 16 state final and was named to The Associated Press All-State team for the second consecutive season. He hauled in 57 passes for 1,217 yards and eight touchdowns as a freshman.

And btw you called Tate top 20 player in the county, AJ Green was #1. That is a difference. You should cut YOUR losses for your stupid comparison @Hyperion

No I'm ok with Tate. Yes I prefer Love. What makes Green a comp to Tate?

I want Love too. Socaljake said Tate hasn't been seen as elite since HS and then I proved he's been very much seen as elite since HS.

You said Tate wasn't seen as elite since HS and I proved you wrong. He was five star by every single recruiting service and coveted by every single major program. Both Tate and Green are viewed similarly at the same stage of their careers.

Granted I don't watch much Ohio State or Big 10 football, but I had never heard of Tate until you guys started talking about him. Pretty much anyone that follows football at all knew who AJ Green was. Looks like they were both top blue chippers coming out of high school, but coming out of college - seem to be on two totally different levels. I don't know, it just seems like because we need a top WR folks are saying "well this guy Tate is the top rated one so we need to get him" and then stretching to justify such a pick. I feel like a top 5 drafted WR should be a no-brainer that jumps off the page. Now I guess the problem is there is really nobody like that when we pick at 4, WR or otherwise. Other than perhaps Love.

Got anymore clips?

Are you that impressed by this?  It looks mostly like cleanup work.  He's not disrupting plays within 2.5 seconds like David Bailey.  He's definitely physical, I like some of the physical attributes but I wouldn't know what to do with him.  He doesn't have any moves on the edge, and he's not a mind-blowing athlete as advertised.  If he was 30 pounds heavier, that would be a different discussion.

You're the dumbest fucking person on the planet if you think your original statement of Tate not being elite since HS is being validated. 247had Tate as a 5 star, # 2 WR #13 overall player. On 3 had him as a 5 star, #3 WR #16 overall.

Comparing rankings between years is meaningless. Some years the no.5 guy at one position might be better than the no.1 guy the following year.

I like Tate, but it is my opinion that he is not this front office's cup of tea. I feel like Borgonzi and his staff have a profile on WR's that prioritizes speed.

Especially if they are considering them in the top 5.
