XAEA12 Posted March 31 Report Share Posted March 31 Deshawn Watson is simply far too removed from experiencing the rigor of elite NFL play, You can't play 19 games in five seasons, be six years older and think you can return to what was a very short peak of excellent play at the toughest position in football. It's just so much more brutal than anything else. I'd love for it to be the way you say, but the human brain and body are fighting you to not do this thing in a way different form other sports. You give the money first there will be people who will find a way out of it I think, a la Haynesworth, and I don't think it's a coincidence that Watson laid an egg after his contract. It's like giving both boxers the money before the fight. I honestly think providing for your family plus being a little crazy are the only thing that keeps the sport going.
