Clearly they jad a better script this week. They did everything that worked in the past and even got some other things like screens to work. The concerning part is once they ran out of script, the offense turned into dog shit again. Idk if Bo just has no idea how to actually make these pieces work, if once teams adjust they have non response, or if there isnsome underlying thing killing this offense. Clearly they can move the ball even with the entire skill group outside rb being rookies, and it seems like McCoy knows how to make an opening game plan. Will this expand in coming weeks with more time to tailor things to his liking? We will see, i expect some more progress but idk if they will ever get over what ever the hump is that they keep crashing into. This year that is. The problem was the PA didn't work once we were down two possessions and led to the disaster fumble which put them into known drop back situations. The team isn't ready for that across the board, starting up front. That's purely a talent, cohesion, and experience problem. oldschool

Then they wanted her marched naked down Broadway to get Cersei-shamed, with Vrabel standing at the end to piss on her head. Yeah, nerds and gigolos shouldn't be allowed to cover sports. What are you talking about? Ward didn't get shutdown. lol. Its like we watched a different game. Man I don't get this. even good posters are now going full casual and making shit up.. it was obvious the offense was better in the 1st half, not great, just better. To claim they were shutdown when down 18 is insane. IsntLifeFunny

No one said a new coach would make the team world beaters. We said new coaching could help get the offense from being a complete disaster to semi-functional. We saw that for a half until the wheels fell off. Comparing that to the Cardinals game is weird. We didn't score until they went into prevent. That's a fact. oldschool

I'm just also saying that it's not a sign of anything significant, just a blip. When it becomes a pattern or even something somewhat sustainable we can talk about how much better we are. We looked good for a half. And then looked abysmal. A new coaching staff didn't take over for the second half. I'm not going to act like this is significant. Marginal improvement that is temporary to boot is not significant to me on a team like this. Edited Monday at 05:39 PM by Mythos27

Maybe he can do better against his defensive kin, like Sweat. He basically took the checkdowns and easy completions from the prevent the Pats were playing . Note : I didn’t watch a good portion of it. Also as noted , this team isn’t built for straight drop back passing in a competitive game. But this reminded me of 2022-2023 where we didn’t have enough talent and the offense sputtered and we blamed the OC etc. But as far as Ward goes this was progress because he looked so bad against the Raiders. At this point you just want him to build on the positives. Mythos27

Yes, he's playing badly but in the big picture, Ward is not the problem so I refuse to even seriously debate anyone that is talking about him like he is. There is absolutely nothing he can do when the opposing defense takes away his easy completions and gets quick effortless pressure. It's also no McCoy's fault though I expect him to become the next scapegoat, followed by Brinker.

Moved the ball easily, maybe against prevent, on 2 of 3 drives outside of the fumble. 4 drives in the 2nd half and he moved the ball on half of them. This is not a winning argument, take the L. If you look at in the aggegate, he moved the offense on 6/8 drives if you account for ther fumble on the first play of the drive to the start the 3rd and the weird end of half decision by McCoy. Maye had his way on that one game ending drive to start the second half . All the problem areas were exposed . Wilson will get fired but I’m not sure whether or not he’s any good since he has very talent to work with DCTitan
