I don't believe he does anymore.  That was back when he was dating a woman from the area...

He was born in Nashville and kept a house here  in Franklin even after he left. I don’t know for sure if he still does.

Albert Breer has a few nuggets here about the HC search and some of the analytical studies the team is already undertaking about varying success rates of second time HC and coordinators with more than

It is becoming really annoying how some people are using bad result as an excuse to paint the last HC hiring process as a sham. Facts are Callahan was an in demand candidate during that hiring cycle e

Callahan was a great "candidate" and a terrible head coach.

Don't remember much about Lane Kiffin time with the Raiders.

There's an article out, with quotes from Al Davis. Lots of disagreements about personnel, and Kiffin not wanting to draft JaMarcus Russell.

Well lane isn't a total retard, thats a plus.

I don’t think Bruce has ever been a mouth piece for agents but ya never know I suppose

Right, maybe not from an agent but maybe hearsay from a league source started via agency. Who knows though.

Personally, I like to get any info these guys legitimately hear and to suss it out from there - so not knocking the reporter at all.

There probably isn't a better coach at getting the most out of a QB on the planet right now than Lane Kiffin. You can argue maybe KOC in Minnesota, but Lane Kiffin can absolutely coach QBs. I would hire him in a second.

Problem is I don't think we will pay him what he is worth. College coaches routinely make more than NFL coaches (Cally was making peanuts), and Lane presently makes $9 million per and will likely be getting a raise after all of this. The question is whether he wants a better quality of life with less stress. If he does, he will go to the NFL. If he does not and $$ is his driving force, then he will stay in college (likely at Ole Miss).

It absolutely is. Quality of life for a coach in the NFL is absolutely better than it is for a college coach. You don't have to recruit or meet with donors/boosters in the NFL.

Just in terms of prestige, being an NFL coach is greater than a college coach.

Thats why a lot of these college guys take a shot in the pros.  It’s almost never the reverse.

It's also a better quality of life. You work maybe 6 mos. out of the year. In college you get 2 weeks off if you are lucky.

I know an NFL assistant personally who also has experience in college. Said the quality of life is night and day.
