Brinker had said after Cally was fired that they still believe in their process and their decision making and the way they want to build a team. To me, that still indicates the idea of an Offensive HC to have Cam grow and master a system.

More or less, but judging by the tone of Borg's comments today the leadership qualities will come first. It doesn't mean they won't look for an offensive guy first, but if it came down to it a defensive guy with stronger leadership qualities might trump an offensive guy with a strong offensive philosophy.

Albert Breer has a few nuggets here about the HC search and some of the analytical studies the team is already undertaking about varying success rates of second time HC and coordinators with more than

It is becoming really annoying how some people are using bad result as an excuse to paint the last HC hiring process as a sham. Facts are Callahan was an in demand candidate during that hiring cycle e

Callahan was a great "candidate" and a terrible head coach.

Your entire premise is based on the idea that Amy put Brinker and Borgonzi in place to make football decisions and then she went against their decision when she fired Callahan when she did.

But how do you know they weren't all in lock-step with each other with the decision? Even if there was a disagreement over the when, why assume she didn't leave it up to them?

It just seems like there's this belief that there's a disconnect between AAS and BrinkGonzi and other than speculative assumptions why should we just blindlu accept that?

We need to have a name the gm(s) contest. I like Gonzinker, someone sugested the B&B which is ok. Maybe the Beegees

Brink-gonzi sounds like someone is about to leave.

Eric Morris has North Texas at 8-1?!

I suggested we hire Liam Coen back before his name became too hot.  Kubiak similarly may be out of our league now, so it's likely that we're going to need to take a leap of faith on someone- like we nearly did with LaFluer.

UNT was Top 6 in total offense every year that Morris has coached there, their competition is a joke, but they put up 59 on Washington State this year.  However WSU's offense was worse in his lone year as OC than it was the preceding or following year.  So it's a bit too much of a reach.  But he's worth considering

I was mostly joking. I don’t think he would even get an interview but I wouldn’t be against it

He seems like a good college candidate.  He recruited Mahomes, as well as Ward and the current QB at North Texas -who looks really good - when they were both 0 stars
