no... PA works regardless of run efficiency. It doesn't work if you are always in passing distances where the D can ignore the action and go straight to the QB.

They should be doing it on first down more like we used to bitch about Vrabel not doing...

PK and some of the fans vastly underrate what Simmons does. He's a straight up game wrecker and totally worth his contract.    He just turned 28, he's got 3-4 years left of prime

“WHY CANT THEY PROTECT HIM?!”   *by the end of the quarter*   ”WHY ARENT THEY TAKING MORE DIALED UP DEEP SHOTS?!”

Saying this team needs a win is the understatement of the century while I'm not in the camp Callahan is facing immediate job security concerns the pressure of continual losing does nothing useful for

well when you a 3rd of your run plays through 2 games are 3rd and 7 or longer, where do you think the bulk of that 14% comes from? hint: 1st down

As an aside, I was reading PK's piece on Bill Callahan which touches in his penchant for a high volume/high efficiency running game. I think if we're going to run the ball as much as Bill Callahan wants to, that we need a really high end running back that can generate explosive plays from time to time. Like a top 3 type RB.

I gotta say this is kinda disappointing to hear. It sounds like Groundhog's Day. Wtf is with this organization and its clinginess to the run game? Also, I thought this was Brian's offense, not Bill's.

But from the sound of it, they're hoping to get some explosive production from Spears when he returns.

Lol Maybe a couple runs before he sprains his nuts. Then back to IR he goes.

Although, considering how bad our pass pro has been so far maybe the only way to nullify it is to run better (no, not more).

Wtf? 33 percent of Titans rushes come on 3rd and 7+ lol? You’re trying to tell me they can’t run PA because they’re obvious passing downs yet they rush that much on 3rd and 7+. I’m hoping you mistyped cause that’s brutal lol.

worded poorly. They have run around 100 plays and of those, 31 have been 3rd and 7 or longer.

These things are so fucking useless lol fans are gonna be screaming about this too. The ARIZONA CARDINALS ARE NUMBER 2 and the BALTIMORE RAVENS ARE 30th. Yeah guys, the fucking patriots offensive line is the 11th best in the league lol

This is specifically pass protection

so? The Pats have played two garbage defenses and Campbell looked like ass in week 1. PFF grades are beyond useless. The grift that has been going on for over a decade now is annoying AF.

That certainly more due to our WRs not being able to win and create separation more so then play design.

The screens getting blown up aren't due to receivers not getting separations.  It's because the play design and play calling are generic and predictable as hell.  The same issue applies to the passing game in general

PFF grades are actually pretty reliable for offensive line and defensive line play. Not as reliable for skill positions.
