I'd expect some more changes.  Pretty typical.  I think Highsmith clears out all of the Ran guys.

Salge is a dawg   Was originally hired by Floyd Reese and has now survived 6 general managers in Tennessee. Always been my favorite member of the front office.

The Patriots have hired AJ Highsmith as their new pro scouting director, per sources. Highsmith is the son of Alonzo Highsmith, who’s New England EVP Eliot Wolf’s right-hand man - the two families are

Definitely.

I thought I also heard that Ran did not really make many changes to the staff that he inherited from JRob. They really are due for a major overhaul. I’d expect a lot of changes this year and even next year.

Not only didn't make many changes with the scouting staff, but left Robinson's grading system in place. Which Borgonzi overhauled right away.

I’d say even if the “sleepy ran” stuff is overblown you’d still have a case to move on since it seems like Ran did not have a strong vision of his own for the team.

That “works” (in concept) if you pair him with a domineering personality like Vrabel but not a first time coach like Callahan.

I can't remember, but did Ran actually ever turn over the scouting dept? Seems like I remember he left a ton of guys in place
