Their EVs will be a small percentage of the company in just a few years, compared to the rest of the company.  Tesla is in full transition to become possibly the biggest AI company on the planet.  They've also said If their Optimus bots pan out like they want in future years, the bots will make up about 75% of the company. 

 

By then they might not even make cars for sale to the public anymore.  Might be more profitable to just lease them out to the public - and then when the lease expires, put them back into their Robotaxi network etc.  They'd probably make 3 or 4 times more cash that way off the duration of the vehicle's life, instead of selling the car one time to a person.

That is not new.  Street corner car lots have been doing that for many decades (sell cheap cars only to people with no credit for 1/2 down, reposse it 2 months later, rinse repeat.)

I'm wondering if Oilerman had to pull anyone out of a drain pipe in the last day or so.  Lots of rain in that area!

I got Lasik yesterday and drove about an hour through the thunderstorm, anyone sucked through a drain was on their own

LMK how that turns out. Almost pulled the trigger about a decade ago then decided against.  Would need to do the near/far thing (near sighted/astigmatism/presbyopia) and hear mixed results on that.

It's worked great so far. My far-sighted vision is amazing now. The fine print stuff has been a little fuzzy since the surgery but that's clearing up too....

 

It was amazing seeing the tournament clock today from across the room as I won 4001.00, 200 more than my surgery.

My Dad wore glasses and my Mom had macular degeneration (couldn't drive after age 50)

 

I've been on the cannabis spectrum since age 15 and still have 20/20 vison.  LOL!
