Aaron Rodgers Informed of Upcoming Release

At his age don't understand why Rodgers would want to play for the Titans given where we are at as an organization.

Do we really want to pseudo-contend next season with an aging qb? Obviously with a rookie that's a no brainer.

He's washed and a loon. I hope they have no interest in him

Some of you don’t want Ward or Rodgers or Carr, just be sure to shut the fuck up when this team trots out Will Levis next year.

What did she say about it this time?

She said Callahans offense makes most sense for him football wise because it asks the QB to sit in the shotgun and diagnose and pick apart defenses but that they would need to upgrade the OL

To me, if you are looking for a guy for a year or 2, Rodgers is as good an option as the others that will be on the market.  The real question is whether Rodgers is willing to accept a mid-tier deal and not be a prima donna about things.

Certainly would make the team more interesting nationally.

I agree

as far as all the vet options go the type of deal they sign has much more importance than the actual QB.

Rodgers on the right type of deal can make sense.

the titans IMO will sign a vet before the draft but it will not keep them from drafting a QB1 or limit their options to trade down.

They have to sign someone as a vet QB, regardless of whether they plan to draft Ward or not. Who they sign won’t necessarily tip that pick, but whoever they sign is going to come in knowing what might happen.

Right, it's unlikely that they'll have made a final decision on the 1st overall pick by the time they sign their veteran QB during FA. So whoever the signing is in free agency likely has to give them some level of decision utility on potentially drafting a QB. As in, it's probably not going to be Darnold which would box them in. And also Darnold is likely going to the Raiders from the sound of it.

I assume it would either be a Brissett-type who comes in expecting to largely be the backup or an older vet looking to start but can’t get a guaranteed starting job elsewhere.

Probably not someone they expect to be a problem if they bench him for Ward…

Why would they be concerned about Cam Ward though, who will be a member of the Cleveland Browns? :D

of course

you probably don't pursue Rodgers if you think you may draft Ward and start him right away.

your gonna let him sit for a year.
