It feels like they already fully decided Ward is the guy last week, but theyre going through their entire process just to say that they did lol but maybe I'm just seeing something thats not actually there in their answers the last few days.

They all know it but haven’t had the “final decision meeting.”

And fuck ESPN and the NFLN you pricks can't go to a commercial before the #1 pick.

Let us old-school football guys take a moment appreciate to the fact that the Titans earned the #1 overall pick the old-fashioned way.   Not by tanking or by trading up, but by simply being

I'd hate Hunter. The Titans best position is likely CB and you don't take a WR that high. If the Titans traded down to 3 and Carter went 2 I'd rather trade down again and maybe go for someone like Mem

I figure they’ll finalize the decision like 10-12 days before the draft, so a few days after that takes places

There's no real reason to finalize the decision at any point before they're on the clock. Rumors are they're open to trading out but it'd take a haul (3 1st rounders). If that's really the case, they'll be open to trading out until the last minute.

They know it's very unlikely they will get offered that

Don’t necessarily agree. Their mid/late round draft strategy (established beforehand) and third wave free agency strategy will revolve around Ward I’d bet.

I think they're fully capable of planning a strategy for if they pick Ward and for if they get an offer of a haul.

We're in a tough spot where we have a lot of needs but few draft picks to fill those needs. A trade down from 35 helps. A Levis trade won't garner much but even a 6th or 7th rounder is something.

I do wonder about the possibility still  of a Simmons trade, maybe even on draft day. If we could get a Tunsil offer, do you take it? Tunsil plays a more valued position, but Simmons is 3 years younger. I think Simmons could fetch a similar return which would give us more of the picks we need to fill crucial spots (EDGE, WR, etc)

Wouldn’t mind a Simmons trade for more picks

I don't see them moving Simmons this offseason but if the season is in the toilet at the trade deadline Simmons himself might start agitating for a move.
