Number9
Harris. I don't think 'eating the dogs and cats' was a good idea. He lost the debate. He declined another debate. All he's done is basically make the same attacks. The border is a serious problem. Neither candidate* impressed me about the border. Economy. Tariffs is stupid. Harris points to what they have done. Healthcare. A concept vs the ACA. Abortion access. Women(single-married) want the right of choice. Trump had to carry that anvil. Half the population understands the plight of a single pregnant woman. Intelligent men understand it too. Trump was stuck to his base. Women 60% Harris. I pray there will be no violence. I love America. I see no reason to tear the Constitution up. The document has withstood the test of time. If we want to institute Laws it allows for change. Project 2025? pat
I think everyone has severely underestimated the impact that deplatforming Democrats off Twitter has had on this race. The South African with Saudi Arabian money elected the worst candidate imaginable once again. headhunter, and JbgTenn 1

He certainly used all he had at his disposal and engaged in the exact same things he and others accused the previous ownership of. At the end of the day the largest platform was actively working for one side. But the left was not deplatformed, from my perspective there was rampant misinformation from the left as much as the right this cycle.

pat
in case you don’t know: Saudi’s Arabia funded Elon Musk’s purchase of Twitter. Elon Musk is South African. Elon Musk provided turn out the vote support to the Trump campaign. It was very effective. There is a ton of current and past targeting information available in social networks. In 2016, Trump relied on Cambridge Analytica which extracted the social graph from Facebook. There were a couple attempts at starting a conservative social network that went nowhere. Buying a social network has apparently been a simpler path.

pat
Let me shed a bit more light on the opportunities provided by purchasing Twitter. First, you get the engagement history from the users. One can build a list of all users who engaged positively with pro-Trump content. This provides a list of high propensity users. Next, you get the lat lng location history of those users. Use this location history to get home addresses, compare those addresses to voter registration rolls, and now you have a list of high propensity voters. At this point, you now have a list of voters to turnout. Knock on their doors. Send them mail. Normal stuff. But highly targeted. Again, Cambridge Analytics built this kind of list in 2016 with viral content on Facebook. In 2024 Elon Musk simply bought this list from Twitter. The Harris campaign was able to target ads through social media ad buys, but without internal data they would not be in the same position to identity specific voters. Anecdotal experience was 3 of 10 Democrats in PA were either not voting, or voting Trump. Republicans did a better job reaching those voters.
