Does the NFL Have a Quarterback Problem?

None of those QBs were putting up those numbers until they passed that Ty Law rule to help Manning stop getting his ass beat in the playoffs every year.

Defenses took awhile to adjust so it was open season for QBs and all those records held by Marino that nobody ever thought would fall.

It was also the beginning of killing the HB and LB position. They’re not ever gonna go back so who cares.

2005-20 QBs definitely benefited from the rule changes that took defenses so long to start adjusting to. It’s like how the NBA changed rules and now suddenly all the athletes are better and everyone from the past was plumbers

b/c they aren't running offenses that translate well.    Caleb Williams is a prime example. he ran a quick 1 read offense or he was able to scramble around until someone came open if that gu

You said 'of late' 5 times in your post.  It's almost like you're trying to pose as an intellectual, but not doing as good a job as @Jamalisms, and that's sad.

QB play around the league has been horrendous. We got spoiled watching Manning, Brees, Rodgers, Brady, etc for 20 years. Mahomes and Allen are great. Everyone else would be in the 10-15 range or worse

I’ll also add not sure what you all mean on defense. 3/4 champions in college were defensive first teams in Georgia & Michigan. Those were elite defenses.

To me, there just hasn’t been truly elite QBs of late in college which has led to the defensive minded teams having an advantage the past three years. Many collegiate teams play sound defense, there just hasn’t been QBs great enough lately to take out those more defensive minded teams in the playoffs. There has been a drop off in QB talent moreso until this past draft & even outside of Daniels I don’t know how effective the other prospects will be.

When Kenny Picket and Willis were the top two QBs in a draft that’s a talent issue more than anything. When Byrce Young, Levis and Richardson are top QBs in a draft that’s again a talent issue. Just weak QB drafts and overhyped prospects recently.

Are we just this is "of late?"

Not sure I follow.. but yeah of late defensive minded teams have won the title in college. You got to go back to 2019 LSU to find the last truly explosive offense to win the title.

That was likely the last elite QB drafted. No coincidence there.

Not posing as anything just a bigtime CFB fan pointing out that defenses have won titles the last three years not offenses. I’ll remove some of those “of lates” to help you read the points a bit clearer

I read the points fine.  You should take out several of those "of late's" to not sound retarded.
