That video is a bad look on everyone in it.   Tyreek is a moron.   The cops think they can be assholes and attack people while hiding behind weapons and a badge.   Talk l

Cops legally don't have to protect citizens. If they see a known attacker with a weapon, they can ignore the person. This has been upheld in court multiple times.   However, cops are also al

This attitude that anything short of model behavior gives cops the green-light to use excessive force is directly what leads to people getting shot for little reason. I get that cops have a tough job

That's the same kind of nonsense people post about their political figures.

Like seriously? No one is supposed to be above the law. If you and I can't do it then should they be allowed to?

I'm not sure why people can't handle routine traffic stops.

I don't think anyone likes having interactions with the cops if they can avoid it. Might as well make it as easy and smooth for both sides involved.  Doing so might just let you go with a warning instead of kissing the pavement 😆

Is your point really to ensure Cops don't abuse their authority, do whatever they tell you to do in a polite and non threatening manner?

Force should always be minimal.

I'm not sure where I stand here to be honest.

He wouldn't comply. Cop didn't recognize him. Raising his window IS a dangerous situation.

I can pull up multiple articles than one of a cop being shot through tinted windows.

I don't think I'd have an issue if him dragging him out and cuffing him.

Some context about how I think.

My son got in trouble once. Broke into a stand and stole a candy bar.  (Dumbass). Cops show up, they run.

For 30 minutes they searched for him and finally found him. He was under a car, hiding.

The cop said come out and he tried to escape out the other end. The cop grabbed his foot and dragged him out. Scrapes up his arms and legs.  His mob and grandmother are irate abd come to me because I'm the one who usually loses my shit and does things I regret after.

I laughed and called my son a dumbass and told him that's what he gets for making a criminal action and running from the cops.

I legit didn't care. He was scrapes, vw waa fine.

That's just me though. I do not feel the cop roughed him up.  The decisions he made leading up to it led to him being drug from our from underneath a car.

I have a small, close circle who I care about. People I would love and kill for.

Even with that, he got what he deserved.

they recognized him and said so immediately after rolling the window down that it's Tyree's hill.

This may be pointless and me taking out of my ass but

Everyone has seen my unedited posts at some point.

When I am angry, I am a different person. I am Jeckyll and Hyde. I think differently. I process differently.  We won't talk about some of my reactions.

My point is that people, mostly, are decent people but they are also stupid, about, and infuriating.

We also live in a super sensitive world where feelings are stirred.

Over time, it's easy to be pissed off and angry ALL THE TIME.

Once I got more control of my anger, I was able to think.... I wouldn't say faster but more logical thoughts went through my head instead of the "burn the world with anger" mentally.

Anger causes it and it infects people's lives and ruins their logical thinking, because they go from one subbedt to the other, pissed off all the time.

But WTF do I know. I'm just a other online idiot 🤷

Don't conflate two points.

1. If you want to make things easier on yourself then make it easy on the cops. Give them your license and proof of insurance. Pull over at a spot that isn't dangerous (don't pull over on the median lane or on the street itself).

2. Don't be an asshole.

They match energy more often than not.

Cops shouldn't abuse their authority.  We shouldn't have to be on egg shells around them but that's not our reality.

Don't get me wrong. I was just expanding on what you posted. Not trying to counter anything.

The bigger point is that if you are a cop and you can't control your anger, then you shouldn't be a cop.

The other cops were fine. Third dude comes out of the back to act tough and rip him out. The others weren't needing to do that. That cop doesn't need to be on the streets.

Tyreek was disrespectful but so was pounding on the windows at the beginning of the interaction. Tyreek shouldn't have rolled the window up but they knew who he was and he said he was calling his agent/ lawyer.

No one with a brain there was worried about someone famous looking for a weapon to use in broad daylight on 3-7 cops on a Sunday morning. It was a power move from the cop.

-That much force was unnecessary.
-Barking conflicting orders to different people is confusing and unnecessary.

-The cop running around to everyone and being threatening and violent to guys that are obviously not threats is escalation. -Coming over to muscle and threaten and bang the back of the knees of someone already subdued and handcuffed was violent and unnecessary.

Idgaf if you take me seriously horse boy. Cops are the dumbest profession on the whole of any field in the U.S. They get paid a ton of money to have no accountability and act like children. And then they kill people on the job and kill their wives at a higher rate than any other profession. They’re the scum of the earth. If you know a cop personally, he’s probably beating his wife

It's a dirty job, but somebody's gotta do it...

Idk about the "paid a ton of money" part though.

See this is the shit that I'm talking about. Yes, he could/should have been more cooperative but that "got what's coming to him" stuff is complete bullshit and exactly why policing is in the state that it's in. The police are the trained professionals and it's on them to behave as such. This is the type of excuse-making that happens when someone gets shot to death by the police and then internet assholes find any little excuse to justify the shooting. You don't beat your wife and then say "well if the chicken wasn't cold, I wouldn't have hit you. You had every chance to keep the chicken hot". It's cop apologia bullshit. Citizen are going to sometimes be rude and an initially non-compliant at times, you have to manage that as a professional, that's the fucking job.

Your analogy doesn't work. The police are an authority figure with lawful authorization to use force and protected by qualified immunity if they make a mistake. Being non-compliant is fine - with words. When that non-compliant escalates to non-compliant behavior, cops have to escalate their force to ensure their safety, control of the situation, AND your compliance.

It's not the cop's job to be nice. He's not stopping you to offer a coupon to an all-you-can-eat buffet recently opened down the street. He's stopping you because he either knows or has reasonable suspicion that you have or will likely commit a crime.

I thought you were a 3L? This is 1L levels of interpretation of law enforcement

There are conflicting stories. The official story that they're going with now is 60 in a 45

The first thing they say is "why weren't you wearing your seatbelt?"

Seems like an unnecessary stop.. and fixing a scratched lambos window is multiple thousands... so I get the reaction from Tyreek but he didn't need to keep going and then close the window.

The road raging Hispanic cop needs to be off the streets. Tyreek needs lessons on how to interact with cops.

We ask too much of our civil servants. You're asking a guy to risk his life to enforce the law on a teacher's salary. How's a 25 yr old cop gonna get shot at on Monday by a gang member, spit on by a crackhead on Tuesday, pull over 30 women for speeding to a tennis lesson who cry to get out of a ticket on Wed, pull a dead family out of a car on Thurs who got hit by a drunk driver, get his overtime denied on Friday due to budget cuts, chase a shoplifter on Sat, and....what for it....

Have a good fucking attitude when some asshole NFL millionaire wants to blow threw his zone and act like a fucking hot head asshole in front of his teammates and claim to be a victim of racism on Sunday???
