Has nothing to do with it. It's the economy and inflation. The average voter doesn't realize the US shouldered inflation better than the rest of the world. All they see is the price of eggs and milk killing them. The lesson for dems is don't ever do fiscal stimulus again, let people lose jobs because at 8% unemployment, only those with out jobs and their immediate families are impacted. High egg and milk prices touches everyone. 

 

This is a resounding defeat, candidate quality had nothing to do with it. Now I will say I think dems need to take a hard look at messaging and accepting the country is for more centrists and even right of center than they have wanted to admit for the last years. Voters also need to think about what they are willing to accept in their leaders but they won't. The crunchies will be out soon slamming Harris and her campaign for not earning their votes while ignoring the fucking canary in the coal mine that is black and latino voters.

 

As a country we deserve whatever comes next over over the next 4 years and beyond.

Harris was not relatable at all and was a terrible candidate. I didn't trust a word she said - every opinion or answer was trying not to say the wrong thing, how could people know what she actually believes in?

Many, many R senators and congressmen came out before the election and pleaded with the citizenship not to vote Trump.  I haven't ever see something like that in my lifetime.  Why do you think they did that?  As popular as Trump is, what made them totally uninterested in riding the red wave.

 

No matter what is said about him, the majority of people who voted in the right states elected him.  Those people believe he will restore economic prosperity and at the very least slow the flow of people entering the country illegally.  Both very much need to happen.  But if Bill Clinton, Nancy Pelosi and Elizabeth Warren came out telling D's not to vote for Biden in 2020 do you see him winning?

 

What is it you want DT to do?  What do you expect he will do?  He has a mandate.  The House, Senate and the President are all R.  Whatever Trump asks for he will be able to get done.
