XAEA12
You thought RB pay was bad, WRs are going to get out of hand quick. A guy gets you 800 yards and wants to get 20M a year? Lol Justafan, and Supernope

A few teams are already showing out with a slew of guys and the amount of good WRs in every draft feels like it's going up. The bubble has to burst at some point. That said I think the elite, elite guys still get stupid money. NashvilleNinja

The bubble has to burst at some point. That said I think the elite, elite guys still get stupid money. You always pay a lot more for a little better. A diamond ring slightly better is twice as expensive as the next, an artifact in better condition, or a player with slightly more sacks, catches, yards, etc. I hate when people say x player was almost as good for a lot cheaper because that’s always the case. You pay for premium because that little extra makes the biggest impact in a game of inches. You’re paying for impact, not stats. So, yes the elite at any position will always make the top end of the market rate. The issue is the size of the share of the market for WRs. It has ballooned like crazy in the past couple years, and I’d say beyond the size of their impact, as teams try to keep up with Patrick Mahomes. It’s going way past the “glory days” of RB salary because only the truly elite, the 1 of 1 type of passer Mahomes is can do magic with simply “good” WRs, all the “good” QBs are searching and overpaying for that premium WR to try to keep up. And so far it isn’t working. Mahomes is truly special.
XAEA12
Ultimately I think you begin to see most resources put into an impact defense since you can’t surpass Mahomes offensively, look at what TB did to the Chiefs in the Super Bowl. I’ll give Vrabel credit that he seemed to have creates a defense built to stop Mahomes, but the offense under him was predictable and ineffective after Lafleur/Smith left

In the last two years, 10 QBs taken to start in the NFL. The plan. Start them game one in most cases to see what you got. Having 30% turnover in a job career a good QB lasts 14 years isn't the answer.
