Yeah, because this guy is an F, let me just ignore all these other guys who are a C- and pretend like they are A+!

Trump's not an F in this analogy.

He's not even being graded. He's already flunked out been expelled

What Trump has done is much, much worse than Nixon. No comparison.

Was Hunter indicted?

There needs to be a strong deterrent to this happening again.

That's beside the point, though. Just because I hate Trump and thoroughly oppose Republicans doesn't mean I have to support Democrats. It's also not an argument of both sides or any argument for equating the parties. I don't even care about that. People here care about that because it's the only way to square things with their supported party.

It's only an argument that what we have isn't good enough and we deserve better. Our politicians in Washington have failed us long before Trump came on the scene.

It's legit crazy to equate the two parties as anything remotely similar at this point.

I dog the Democrats and do more than pretty much h anyone who isn't a Trump supporter around here. The both sides shit used to at least be worth a discussion. It isn't any longer. It's now in some ways more deluded than the Trump supporters who at least admit they don't care about anything other than supporting their leader.

When the Tea Party started, their plan was to run for every office in the country.  They have done very well in the south.  They have elected incompetents to every level of government in the South.  Some of the TN legislature is uneducated.

That guy's YT's  @OILERMAN posts is who needs to talk to them.  It is dangerous, but you need Dems like him running down here.  Door to door.  You need candidates who can communicate and draw the passion out of the silent ones.

I bet a lot of people who really don't like Trump, didn't vote the last election.  Right now, he's controlling the outcome of legislation in congress.  There are not as many of them, but they work together for Trump.

I've seen some politics, but I cannot remember anyone outside the government with that kind of power.  They also threaten the families of congressmen.  Evidence that even less of the people are for his bs.  If he said he was going to kill your children, what would you do?

Whether or not somebody thinks this is true, what you run up against (imo) is probably less water carrying for dems and more people bewildered at where you focus your energy.

I’m not sure I agree with that given the tone of responses but I understand the sentiment and appreciate the feedback.

Should they continue to prosecute the person who refused to turn over documents and tried to hide them and said that they were his and obstructed every attempt to bring the documents in?

Yep.

So a Senator or VP with no ability to classify documents, has them for years in the open is not punishable? Is that the correct decision in your view?

Accidental vs intentional

…The special counsel report found that Biden willfully retained classified information, including top secret documents, and knew he was in possession of some documents as far back as 2017. He also shared some of that information with the ghostwriter of his 2017 memoir.

The special counsel decided not to charge the president in the case – primarily because he found that nothing proved a willful intent by Biden to illegally hold onto classified information and his cooperation with the investgation.

Biden said otherwise. He said he had his own notes that were not classified.

You can certainly argue that his his opinion of what is classified is wrong, but in the end everything points to the idea that he didn’t intentionally hold onto classified material.

He denies it… denies it very strongly,…. I’ve heard that somewhere before. Unless egregious behavior is demonstrated on the part of the investigation, I’ll side with the special counsel’s report — Biden fucked up by knowingly holding onto secret documents belonging to the government.

We can agree that Biden fucked up by having the classified documents.

But the issue is that we all know Biden wasn’t the person packing up his office. His staff throws this stuff in boxes and it gets moved to wherever his stuff is supposed to go. This process needs to be better policed, but clearly it was not an intentional act of trying to steal classified intel.

It’s similar to Hillary's email server. She wasn’t sending herself emails that were classified. Her staff was sending it to her. And none of that was marked as classified. In both cases, intent matters.

He knew he was in possession, willfully retained them, and used them in writing his memoirs. Please stop blaming the movers, ffs.
