Sunday Ticket did all this with Directv.  I could DVR as many games as I wanted and watch them all live or delayed with rewind, etc.

Now the "online only" version did not have that capability and perhaps that is what you used?

Yeah, I was talking about the streaming version of Sunday ticket, which was crap.

From WSJ:   Back in 2015, when a San Francisco pub called the Mucky Duck filed a complaint about how the National Football League handles its out-of-market broadcasts, it was viewed as littl

I watched a documentary on the Pepsi wars recently. Was actually pretty interesting. They were getting hammered in the late 80s when Jordan partnered with Coke. They decided to buy up a bunch of fast

Yes it was absolutely crap.  And very different than the non-streaming version, which was fairly solid for the most part.

Again. I understand the concept of dynamic pricing, but I believe it’s wayyyy to high priced still to try to get people who are on the edge.

The cheapest in the entire world is still almost $100 USD but if you look at something like EPL for English soccer you can get that for $5 here because it’s a low enough of a price point to convince someone it’s worth watching  and might gain some fans.

You’re not gaining fans for 100s of dollars per fan, you’re just giving them what they are already looking for.

You know what you're right. I say they make it cheaper!

Most of you know You Tube TV has it this year. Saw an ad for it when I signed on today.

$100 off until 6/6/2023 - $249

Adding NFL Red Zone - $289

Adding 4k - $9.99 per month (have not tried that)

I can stream 6 devices, not sure if this does the same.

None of the NFL games except if Fox has the Super Bowl are displayed in 4K so scratch that one...

Update:  Youtube revised their FAQ page and it now says this...

How many streams do I get?

NFL Sunday Ticket can be watched on up to two simultaneous device streams.

The DTV streaming option could only be used on one device at a time

Yeah but the TV version on DirecTV could be used on as many devices as your normal programming package used.

So this is a definite downgrade.

For sure. That's part of why I was saying that Sunday Ticket thru YouTube seems like a downgrade from the old system even though satellite TV is super old tech

The reason why is obvious.... They don't want password sharing of an account with access to Sunday Ticket.

Yup but it sucks for someone who actually wants to legitimately use the product.

Instead of limiting the number of simultaneous devices couldn't they simply allow unlimited devices but only from a single IP address?

Everything coming out of your house looks like it's coming from a single IP already, whichever public IP your ISP allocated to you. That being said Netflix can track number of devices so I'm sure it's possible.

YoutubeTv is tracking it also. You can have 3 devices streaming it I think with the base plan.
