He could go earlier than72.  I have no idea where some of these guys will go.  JSN will go in round 1 somewhere.  Maybe Zay Flowers.  That's about the only things I'm reasonably sure about.

Agreed, it's one of the most wide open classes of any position I can think of.

Did he say at 41 or 72? I have wanted him at pick 72 since I heard we were showing interest. Have heard rumblings that he could go higher though.

He said that the entire coaching staff had dinner with him the night before his pro-day workout.. RC. Kelly, Vrabel, and the WR coach..apparently he is super smart about how to use his other assets besides speed to get open.. he can see us taking him at 41, though it might be a little "rich", meaning early..

It sure seems we are looking at several 5'10-11" 175lb speed receivers..

Been pounding the door for Scott in the 2nd Round for some time now. A ton of the WRs are going to go off the board between picks 42 through 71. Better to pick the guy you like most, then to wait and pick someone who you don’t have ranked as high. Get the guy you covet. Don’t waste time/energy/resources in picking someone else when you can get the guys you want and prefer.

I really wish we had more meetings with some of these RB's coming out.

If it’s the 4th rd or later I’d love to draft Achane. Truly special speed. Legit track star speed. Keaton Mitchell is another.

I pretty much subscribe to the modern theory on RB’s not being an imperative spot but they’re a very good value in the mid to later rounds because you don’t really have to wait for them to develop. Especially for a team like us, that’s just so devoid of speed on offense. We need some juice anywhere we can get it. A real burner like Achane can maybe help steal a game with a big play or two.

If we didn’t need so much help elsewhere I could even stomach using a 2 on Jahmyr Gibbs. 4.36 guy who runs silky routes.

Everytime I think about Gibbs, I think about what an insane weapon he’d be with Cincy. A lot of people mention Buffalo, but Allen doesn’t throw to RBs much.

Plugging him into that Cincy offense that has been relatively devoid of RB talent (I think Mixon is one of the more overrated players in the league) would be so difficult to defend.

C'mon dude is a plodder and can't really run that well to function as a change of pace back.

Look what I was responding to. He catches well, is a solid blocker, and doesn't fumble...he literally described Haskins to a T.

That was kinda the point. People think they know what they want at RB but what they really want is a guy that can do the basics AND be a special playmaker.

I haven’t seen enough of Mixon but off the cuff I kindve agree with you about him being a bit overrated, but moreso overrated in how he’s talked about as a dynamic, all around pass catching weapon. I think he’s a very good runner, though I’m not sure he has the greatest vision, but he’s a specimen. But he’s also included in the category of the very good receivers & Im not sure I see it. I don’t really think he’s much more than a screen/dump off guy. There’s really not many backs that are truly skilled pass catchers. By that I mean they’re a major piece of the passing offense & run legit routes, play some from the slot, don’t slow down at all when catching like a WR, etc.

I think Gibbs would really help Cincy sure, but I think he’d really help ANYBODY. He is small & not physical, he doesn’t break many tackles, but I can’t remember a back who runs truly advanced routes & catches like he does while also running a 4.36. Usually backs with that type of speed are linear types like CJ. But he’s got tons of shift. Knowing how things go a team like Cincy, Philly, KC, or Buffalo will pick him & he’ll be an absolute monster from day 1.
