It’s pretty quiet in here They’re still all in for now, just like when Dubya invaded Iraq and they were cheerleading. They just want to avoid looking like fools for talking about how much they love Trump for being against wars. MadMax

But largely I just don’t care. And it’s going to burst eventually anyway so this may be the economic event that triggers it. It’s more important to focus on the idea that Iran could cripple the global economy in general. And the idea of them attacking desalinization plants is a possibility I hadn’t even considered but it would be a big deal. If they start doing that shit is going to hit the fan. IsntLifeFunny
What I'm seeing coming out of Republicans is they think this will be a quick war. It won't be. Iran has a ton of leverage regardless of how it plays out. rns90

I hadn't even considered them going after the water supply of allies. IsntLifeFunny

When you are facing your own destruction, sometimes the inevitable thought is to take your enemy out with you. A non-nuclear mutually assured destruction if you will. So far, we have 6 Americans dead and we replaced Ayotollah Khamenei with....checks notes....Ayotollah Khamenei. And have obviously killed hundreds if not thousands of Iranian civilians at this point, not to mention all the deaths from Iranian retaliation in the Gulf States. Feeding the military industrial complex. That’s all republicans care about. If we don’t attack people every few years and get into a war, how will they justify excessive military spending to enrich private corporations? rns90

Because we have no idea what to do there and have no appetite for real nation building in that area. Eventually we will leave asap.

IsntLifeFunny
What I know is that if it turns into a situation like Libya then there's no telling who gets their hands on what. We are now funding the Kurds, who I appreciate and they've been royally fucked by the US and Trump before, but that is a very dangerous game. What's likely to happen is civil war down ethnic lines. We'll see, but anyone who thinks this is a fly by night type situation is an idiot. Edited March 5 by IsntLifeFunny rns90, and Starkiller

What does Iran look like when we leave? If you can't define the end game, when is it over? No answers. IsntLifeFunny
