I've watched a lot of right wing media, especially Fox, since this MOU with Iran was signed.... holy shit. No wonder these Trumpers are so misinformed. I know Fox lies and distorts facts but actually watching it is pretty eye opening.

They know their audience.

Even the idiots have gone silent around here and many are pushing back elsewhere. It's genuinely good to see.

300 billion sovereign wealth fund and 100 billion unfrozen assets to hopefully (and that collapsed in 24 hours) get the Strait reopened and have a discussion about their nuclear capability versus 1.7 billion with spot checks and full guarantees. The juxtaposition is stark. And none of this is a joke. The President admitted the world will run out of oil in the next 3 weeks.

JFC... I didn't realize he did that. How do you sign your Treaty at Versailles and not realize what you're doing? I'd heard it mentioned as Trump's Treaty at Versailles but didn't realize he actually signed his surrender at Versailles.

Every President has his share of mistakes, missteps, and things he should have done or handled differently.

But I can’t think of an instance where an American President has ever made such a massive and monumental screw-up due to sheer ignorance, recklessness,  and stupidity by doing something he specifically promised Americans he wouldn’t do….but then did it anyway.

All Trump has to do was listen to his experts and advisors who told NOT to do something he had already promised America he wouldn’t do and this entire situation would have been avoided.

And as simple as that sounds….he  managed to completely fuck it up.

Now we’re well on our way to crashing the entire global economy…all due to Trump’s decisions and actions that his advisors repeatedly warned him not to do.

How any American can continue to support this buffoon, I have no idea.

Here's another guy Trump is listening to, Mark Levin who just happens to be the guy that @Little Earl listens to and often quotes.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu reportedly believes that he can influence the U.S. negotiations with Iran using pro-Israel commentators and lawmakers, CNN reported.

Netanyahu is planning to pro-Israel podcaster Mark Levin to influence the negotiations surrounding the final Iran deal that is supposed to be completed in 60 days, CNN reported, citing an unnamed Israeli source, along with other media figures. The Israeli prime minister believes he can accomplish this despite President Donald Trump signing the memorandum of understanding with the Iranian government at the Palace of Versailles in France on Wednesday, according to a video posted by French President Emmanuel Macron on X.

Levin has a history of lobbying Trump to support Tel Aviv’s aims, Politico reported, with one incident occurring during a private White House lunch in early June where the commentator warned that Tehran was days away from getting a nuclear weapon.

That claim contradicted what the intelligence community concluded in its 2025 annual threat assessment, which assessed that Iran was “not building a nuclear weapon.”

Bibi, Lindsay Graham, Mark Levin.....these are the idiots Trump listened to instead of our own intelligence community and our military.

@Little Earl  come out of hiding and defend this crap.

First….there’s a very real chance that Trump has no idea what the Treaty of Versailles was.

I’m sure he’s probably heard the phrase before….but he probably doesn’t have a clue what it actually was or its historical relevance, because let’s face it:  Trump has no interest in anything that doesn’t affect him personally or that he wasn’t directly involved with.

Somewhere I saw it mentioned that getting  Trump to Versailles was a very deliberate and calculated move by Macron.

At last year’s 2025 G7 summit,  Trump  left after just a day or two…because he was bored and didn’t care what other countries or world leaders had to say.

To ensure Trump would stick around this year, Macron played to Trump’s ego, arranging for a spectacular celebrity chef-cooked meal and VIP tour of Versailles….and of course, Trump fell for it.     Dazzled by the meal and whole spectacle of Versailles,  Trump was putty in Macron’s hand, quickly signing off on  the MOU that conveniently happened to be sitting there at Versailles, ready for Trump’s signature.

Trump was gullible and star-struck….and too flat-out dumb  to fully understand what he was agreeing to.   So with Trump’s signature on the MOU, the United States is now committed to another Treaty of Versailles-type agreement:  a total capitulation complete with massive concessions, reparations,  removal of U.S.military presence in the region, and ceding control of the Strait of Hormuz to Iran and Oman.

This MOU represents the single biggest blow this country has ever seen for America’s military presence and our ability to project power into the Middle East and Central Asia and our overall standing as a world superpower.    And Trump signed off on it….because he was once  again too dumb to realize he was being played and manipulated by much smarter people who know exactly how to get him to agree to whatever they want.

Immediately upon the signing of this MOU, the United States of America will begin the removal of its naval blockade and any disturbances or impediments against the Islamic Republic of Iran, and will fully end the naval blockade within 30 days. During this period, the traffic of vessels will be in proportion to the numbers of pre-war traffic being restored by the Islamic Republic of Iran. The United States of America further undertakes to remove its forces from the proximity of the Islamic Republic of Iran within 30 days after the final deal.

Iran said jiust yesterday that they interpret that provision of the MOU to mean the US must leave the entire Persian Gulf area.

1,  The Islamic Republic of Iran and the United States, together with their allies in the current war, declare upon the signing of this Memorandum of Understanding an immediate and permanent end to the war on all fronts, including Lebanon, and undertake that from now on they will not launch any hostile action against each other, and will refrain from the threat or use of force against each other. The final agreement will confirm the provisions of this Article and the remaining Articles.

Trump is threatening Iran again.  Iran is correct.  He's in violation of the MOU.
