Watching Lindsey graham on news this morning was hilarious….he looks panicked….

He's up for re-election this fall.  He can't put any distance between him and Trump on the war.  Not only would he have to lie about his position but he can't risk criticism of Trump and pissing him off.  He's got to go down with the ship and is at the mercy of how this plays out over the next few months.

At some point I'll probably end up donating to his opponent.

Oh, so Graham talked with Trump for four hours on June 19th. So that's the reason he's now saying they'll take the Strait again. The guy is simply so stupid he is manipulated by literally everyone and the last person in the room closes the deal.

It's abundantly clear to the rest of the world that the United States' current leadership is an incompetent clown show, not to be trusted nor even taken seriously.

The Trump administration has turned the United States into an international punchline.....a poorly-written reality TV show that nobody wants to see because the cast of characters is so dumb, incompetent, and wholly unlikable.

I may have mentioned this before:   a few months ago,  my MIL went to Europe on vacation with friends and visited 3-4 different countries.    They were initially concerned about the possibility of facing anti-American sentiment in some areas....but everywhere they went, whenever anyone found out they were American, the response was always, "Oh my god, I'm so sorry!    We love Americans here... it makes us sad to see everyone in your country having to deal with all these problems from your President".

I never thought I'd live to see a day where the rest of the world feels sorry  for Americans.....just for being American.

Apparently Making America Great Again  also includes making the rest of the world feel sorry for us?

Truly hilarious. Trump already said he would blame him. He's the biggest baby back bitch in history. I guess Neville Chamberlain could make a claim as well, but I think Trump takes the cake after this MOU.

Yep. We are facing a global depression starting in 3 weeks when the world's reserve oil runs out. Iran knows this. They know how many will die. They don't care. They don't care about their people or their country. They care about power and their stupid fucking religion. And we have forced on them this compression by literally threatening their civilization.

Have to give Rubio a little credit for knowing this is a disaster and getting out of the line of fire even though he's the Sec of State and should be in charge of negotiations.

Iran has always been a bad actor POS instigator with POS leadership…as illustrated by the numerous sanctions by previous administrations.

They’ve always been a PITA instigator and rabble-rouser ….but Iran never posed any real threat to the United States and had very little power or  influence beyond their own borders and immediate region.

This was the case for several decades and across multiple Presidential administrations…Iran was little more than a problematic PITA.  Until Trump came in and fucked it all up.

Thanks to Trump, Iran has exerted control over the Strait of Hormuz…and is imposing tolls that will be a massive windfall to the tune of billions of dollars in free money each year for Iran.

Trump’s stupid folly also led to the removal of long-standing U.S. sanctions that severely restricted Iran’s ability to sell and export oil…an even more massive windfall that will likely provide Iran with hundreds of billions of dollars in new oil revenues .     (And Iran’s oil operations are government-owned and operated… so unlike the U.S., all revenue from Iranian oil goes directly to the Iranian government.)

At no time in U.S. history has a POTUS ever done so much to benefit Iran as Trump has….there’s not even a close second.   It’s entirely possible that history will eventually view Trump’s ill-fated war of incompetent leadership as the single greatest gift Iran has ever received.

Trump and L. Graham's threats on the talk show this AM to start the war back and take the Strait by force ring hollow and everyone knows.  If Trump was going to militarily take the Strait and impose his own tolls, he would have already done it instead of signing the surrender MOU.

It's impossible to do given the terrain. 300 miles of high ground where it is easy to launch at ships. Our military ran the biggest war games in history to prove this point back in 2004. Even if you completely obliterate their navy it is impossible to hold that territory.

The US has also been a bad actor in Iran dating back to the 1950s when the CIA and the British ovethrew their goverment and imposed the Shah of Iran in power.  All done to protect British oil interests.

I think to myself quite often how much of history is understood by Americans and I believe it is very little for the massive majority.
