The biggest thing that worries me are the surprise discoveries by the Biden administration. There's no way Trump didn't leave behind some ugly booby traps

Anyone who thought a 1.9T package that covers a ton was going to get GOP support without cuts wasn't living in reality. Obviously the min wage hike has to go. What else? Maybe agree on targeted stimulus checks to those who lost jobs? Try to work something out of possible while planning for reconciliation. The only problem with using reconciliation is it will take months to go through the process. Also from what I read the other day, the min wage hike would have to be pulled as that can't be part of any legislation that is passed by reconciliation.

Getting rid of the filibuster is flat out the only way to get a lot of this passed.

As for reconciliation, a delay is better than nothing. But in the meantime, Democrats need to hammer Republicans for blocking it.
