If the student loan issue is no big deal Biden shouldn't have run on the issue. And they keep extending the time frame to avoid having to pay them.

44 million people have almost a combined 2 trillion in Student loan debt

I wouldn't be surprised if they just extending the limit. Because when it kicks back in a lot of people will be fucked

He didn't run on it. He ran on forgiving $10K only. Nevermind that's its congress who can pass a bill if they truly want to address it. Stupid unrealistic voters plus a party bad at messaging is going to turn this country over to the GOP and minority rule. Both are to blame.

@Titans279 not sure whats funny about my previous post. Its a fact there are plenty of mentally sound people in their 70 and early 80s. Durbin is 77, Angus King is 78. Are they unfit to serve? where do you draw the line? Your real issue is that a bunch of old white people still run the country and you want younger voices at the table. I'm all in favor of consecutive term limits for congress but setting an arbitrary age max is a stupid idea as whatever age you set as the cap will cut out many capable people unless its 85+ which won't have the desired affect you are after.

There are older people perfectly sound to hold office.  Do they represent the populace though?  That's a tough one to answer, and the GOP is having a hard time answering that as well.  I say that with deepest respects to the old GOP.  RIP.

He actually said a minimum of 10k

And he didn't do it

Notice the first part? Pass a bill.... its amazing how you and others have bought into the idea an executive order can wipe out student debt without any thought for the ramifications or the lack of addressing the real issue which is out of control tuition costs. This is a perfect example of how democrats focus on stupid shit rather than addressing real issues..

Lastly, it's like you and others ignore the fact student loan payments have been suspended for a while now. But don't let that get in the way of this bullshit natrative.

I did notice the first part about pass a bill, they didn't. As far as I know they aren't talking about doing anything about it. As far as Democrats focusing on stupid shit, Biden ran on it, if that's who you mean.

I clearly posted in my recent post about the facts the payments have been extended, so no I didn't ignore it. I expect it to keep getting extended at least past the elections.

Biden ran as a progressive(so did Trump btw), his claim was he was the most progressive candidate of all time. He must have thought running on progressive ideas was good.

You were the one pimping the fact all these bills would get passed and people didn't know how negotiations worked. I guess now you know

The bill in one tweet is separate from the forgiving of student loans in another. When he said “as proposed by Senator Warren and colleagues”, he is referring to the ability of Department of Education to forgive that debt directly. That was Warren’s plan.

Additionally.... joins the two tweets. It's clear he's talking about passing legislation.

It’s clear he is not, thus his specific mention of Warren’s plan.

Or do you think he keeps delaying loan payments by passing bills through Congress?

Wrong. I said BBB would pass if Manchin got what he wanted, he didn't it. The WH tried to strong arm him and it failed. It's their biggest failure since Biden became President.

You and others have continually glossed over the congress role in enacting the Democrat platform. It's a 50/50 Senate and the deciding votes are held by Manchin and Sinema who don't share progressive ideals. There are also others Manchin and Sinema shield from criticism.

The fact is voters are stupid if they thought the progressive agenda was going to be rubber stamped through congress and they are even dumber for not voting as it allows the GOP who should be on the ropes politically to take control. Hope all those voters don't support women's rights, worker's rights, climate change, etc.... they are in for a rude awakening in 2022 and 2024.
