He hasn't been on the grounds of the WH during the presidency thus far since the Inauguration and isn't involved in the government or politics in any capacity. And the fact that you are up in arms over something like this is laughable anyway - in the same week that Trump's CFO is being criminally charged for tax fraud and half of his advisors and confidants have been imprisoned for their crimes. Do you not see the dichotomy in your thinking? It's not based on principle, it's based on partisanship and tribalism. Nope. Biden is classic influence peddling. They're very much conservatives, bona fide conservatives - particularly Brooks and Kristol. Socially and economically, and they are good thinkers and make good points from the conservative point of view. I think you are conflating sensationalist right wing populism with conservatism in your evaluation. Rogue, and Btowner
Titans279
I'll kind of side with El Guapo here and say if your goal is to understand something close to what even a significant minority of conservatives think then reading people like Brooks and Friedman shouldn't be that high on your list. I think you’re saying that mostly because you disagree with their point of view. You don’t think there are a shit ton of Republican DAs out there that would give their left nut to charge one of the Bidens? Including Trump’s DoJ that went after him. There’s nothing there re: Joe Biden “corruption.” You’ll be digging for a long time on that. Hunter is a slimeball but is distanced from the WH and from Joe Biden. Biden is a lot of things, like clumsy at times, but he’s not corrupt.

This is where we have always agreed, to a degree. Now you have changed and not in a good way. Yes, we need to clean the lobbyist out of Washington. If a person wants to be a member of congress, the president they should be an open book about finances. You would have to allow personal freedom, but one shouldn't have a brother getting huge contracts suddenly from the government. The change in you is you are perfectly fine with the way Trump raped the government. You now stand with nazi and white separatist with your unyielding support of Trump. You support the disenfranchisement of your fellow Americans because of their skin color evidenced by your silence against the 100's of bills before state legislatures. I have voiced my complaint about the watered down ACA for years. I have also voiced concern about immigration from south of the border. How will we get anywhere ever if one side condemns unsubstantial welfare cheats, but pats billionaires who rob the government of billions on the back. This x1000. I said the exact same thing to my family yesterday over a group text when they started on about Dems being communists and fascists and yada yada culminating in them going after poor people and people on welfare. I said “while we are it let’s make sure Warren Buffett and Jeff Bezos pays the same percentage in income taxes as the rest of us”. The thread of course went quiet after that one.
