I'm not sure whether they'd trade Chris Jones, I don't think he's up for trade.

He's the second best DL in the game right now probably, and is the Chiefs second best player. I'd definitely prefer him over Clowney but I don't think that's an option.

Probably so, but one can dream.

Get your facts straight. This is a meat-eaters only organization. Derrick Morgan, Casey... those walking vegetables are gone from us. It's all pigs, cows, and fowl from here on out.

Bat?

You give him $15 mil he plays good for a season and then demands $20mil. You give him $20mil, he takes a season off. I'd rather find someone in the draft who's hungry or an underpayed player that needs coaching and an opportunity.

Question for us beyond his effort and cost, can he fit as a DE in a 3-4? Will he a be an OLB or a hybrid?

Yeah, I'd rather have Patrick Mahommes at QB and Jalen Ramsey at corner too.

I'm with everybody who is afraid of Clowney.  The reason he's not signed is injury problems and the rap on him when he came out.  Takes plays off.  He may or may not be taking plays off, but that rap usually doesn't just pop up on a player.  He wants a big deal and it's not a one year deal.  If he gets a long term deal, it's a big risk.  A player as good as him would ordinarily have signed day one for record money.  With the risk involved, I'm against rolling the dice.

If Vrabel is all for signing Clowney then you have no reason to be afraid. If You haven’t been impressed with Vrabel’s feel for the LB position then you haven’t been paying attention.

You don’t have to give up any draft capital to sign Clowney. I assume significant draft capital for Jones.
