AussieTitanFan08
I still have serious doubts that we can put a consistent month of football together and take care of our own business and win the last 4 games against the Jags/Giants/Redskins/Colts, but having a quick look over the week 14 schedule this is the week that a few of our competitors for the final WC spot might slip up. Ravens at Chiefs Colts at Texans Patriots at Dolphins Bengals at Chargers Each of the Ravens/Colts/Dolphins/Bengals would be underdogs heading into week 14. The Broncos are a real problem if we only get to 9 wins, their only real tough remaining game is the Chargers in week 17 who could have nothing to play for and be resting players. Broncos at 49ers As long as we beat IND, they dont matter. MIA doesnt matter either. No way they win at least 3 of their next 4. DEN and BAL are the teams we need to cheer likenhell against. Didn't include the Broncos because they had an easy game this week, just assuming they will beat the 49ers
AussieTitanFan08
That loss today really hurt the Colts they have a tough couple of weeks at Texans and then home to the Cowboys. titanruss, and TeamBass 1

scine09
This is how the Titans get into the playoffs: 1. Win out 2. Baltimore loses 2, most likely at KC and at LAC 3. Denver loses once 4. Miami loses once. They play vs NE and at Min so I'd assume that'll happen. Aside from winning out which I highly doubt will happen, Denver losing right now is 50/50 at best. No I don't think the Broncos are some great team but they're playing at SF, vs Cle and at Oak before closing the season vs the Chargers. Can any of the 3 teams in weeks 14-16 upset the Broncos? I'd say Cleveland is the most likely, but that game is in Denver and is on a short week (Saturday). Maybe Oakland comes to play as that game is on Monday night and it could be the last Raiders game ever in Oakland. Here's one thing to look at. The Titans need the Chargers to keep winning because if the Chargers are locked in as the 5 seed they're going to have nothing to play for in week 17. However, if the Chargers win their next 3 they'll enter week 17 at least with a chance to win the division and maybe get a bye. The Steelers are also a possible team to look at if the Ravens don't lose the games that you'd figure they'd lose. If the Titans win out and the Steelers lose vs NE and at NO then they'd be 9-6-1 and lose out of the Titans if it came down to that. SleepingTitan
If we don't win out, we don't deserve to be in. Chances of winning anything in the playoffs unless we get it together is slim. I don't think we can win more than 1 more game with this line as is. jphardy
I did the playoff generator, predicting what I thought would happen with the remaining games. With us winning all four, we take the 6 seed. Our game with Indy, obviously, and Chargers @ Broncos in Week 17 should be big. Baltimore was also in the mix. Not a lot of dominant teams anymore with a lot more mediocrity. Seems a team could get hot at the right time and make a run. Titans were one game from the afc championship last year for craps sake. Although we say it more now, in reality, there’s really much less of “we have no chance against that team” than there used to be. I’m always pulling for things to suddenly click and the team takes off on a run. Edited December 3, 2018 by smokeater
