I can only guess that Reinfeldt played a role in hiring the coordinators and/or handling their contracts. That or Reinfeldt broke the trust of Bud someway. Glad to see Webster and Munchak retain

I guess I'm in the minority. Firing MR and keeping Munchak and Webster is the right call to me. Munchak has total locker room support and the players never quit the entire season. He had a rough year

I disagree. I think Munchak is a big Locker guy. I also don't think that Munchak is the type of guy who throws people under the bus to save his own ass.

I'm just speculating, but it sounds like Bud took Reinfeldt's recommendations on VY, Munchak, Webster, etc. So, he fired him based on the results of the recommendations. That's the only "logical" sense I can make out of this firing.

Reinfeldt assumed Underwood's role. It's not that hard to understand. It's a non football position. This was made to appease season ticket holders and local businesses that are disenfranchised with the direction of the organization. That is all it is.

Agree.

Reinfeldt was absolutely fired for his past football decisions but that makes no sense due to him being elevated to oversee the financial side two years ago. I still think he was fired to show the fanbase that the team is not standing pat. Too bad most fans won't realize it doesn't mean shit.

Reinfeldt was probably fired because instead of doing his homework when it came time to pick the future of the franchise at QB, he instead tuned into ESPN and let the talking heads decide for him. Or it could be the Michael Griffin pick and contract renewal amongst other questionable decisions.

This is a tweet to me from Greg Arias, the Titans writer for the Examiner, regarding Reinfeldt's firing:

Several things are rumored as part but I won't comment on that. I think it's a good move.

I'm assuming Reinfeldt may have pissed Bud off. Maybe they didn't really get along?

Reinfeldt was hired to stay out of Jeff Fisher's way, not because he was particularly qualified at anything...certainly not because he was a strong leader. Once Jeff left his days were numbered. If anything Bud did him a favor by trying to find something else for him to do instead of firing him outright when Webster was promoted.

Another excellent point. Didn't think about that angle.

Like I said.. I don't think we're done. I bet Webster is out too.
