Cory Curtis (local sports director on WKRN channel 2 ABC) stated that Andre James is working out at OG, and it seems likely we will keep him and slater as swing guards. He doesn't see Volson on the team currently. He also said the team would love to add a swing tackle, but may have to settle for BCD, as there just aren't many available.. most of the available tackles want to start including Decker and  Conklin

I thought Schlottman would take over center after watching him a bit when we grabbed him in FA. He's a good pass protector, who while not terrible in the run game isn't moving anyone. Volson was pencilled in as a starter when we signed him, but he's as bad as it gets. I thought it would play out like this and expect Schlottman to be a lot better than Cushenberry.

Slater is the backup center and RG, James backup IOL, with Carmona starting is the best play.

If Dan Moore is trash, who cares if these FA LT guys want to start? Sign them to start if they are better.

Move Dan to Swing where he belongs.

EDGE might end up being the position that is injury cursed this season. Already lost Harrell for the season, Faulk just hurt his shoulder, Franklin-Myers still isn't participating in team drills with his back issue, Martin only just returned from his knee issue and is slowly working back into team periods.

Nate Tice is very anti-Wandale and unimpressed by Daboll.

He thinks that Daboll requires his QBs to make off script plays too much instead of really giving them more difficult pocket passing chances... and he thinks Cam can handle the more difficult stuff but wont get it in favor of simplified things that may pull out Wards worst habits.

I'm concerned about this.  They need to use him on rollouts, PA - plays which are scripted by design but give him room to do his thing.  Just dropping him back and throwing simple screens is going to get him antsy for more action and likely to make the mistakes we saw in the last game

I just dont like that such a large portion of his offensive successes has come from QB called runs and QBs playing off script and scrambling.

I think he's a better offensive planner than we had - he knows what he is doing - but he's nothing special.

If he does the shit he was doing in NY last year with Dart, then that could be pretty bad for Cam. But I do think he knows that Cam is a smarter Xs and Os QB than Dart.
