If I don't agree with the pick, any contact with the player is obviously a smokescreen.   You see this argument every year.

The 4th pick in this years draft gets a fully guaranteed $49.07 million contract.   - No S in the NFL have that much fully guaranteed money on their contract - No off ball LB currently

Omar Cooper Jr might be my favourite player in this entire draft I just don't expect him to make it to #35.

So for Borgonzi to position himself to take him he either needs to trade down from #4 with either the Cowboys or Rams and take Cooper Jr at 12th or 13th or he would need to trade up from #35.

Sounds like on his visit he spent a lot of time with Daboll, Bricillo, AND Saleh

You think they'd be looking at him as more of an LT or a RT? He played RT last year, but the previous two years he was an LT.

Both I imagine! The hope is probably LT I have to assume. I think they see JC as the long term right tackle as of now

Probably wont matter unless they take him at like 66 because sounds like he ain’t gonna make it to 101 anyway.

I would imagine Cooper is like Concepcion-  due diligence in case he falls to 35. They seem to have a few guys like that where they may be trying to catch a guy falling out of the first at 35.

Yeah... but if we're not taking an OT at 4 and RG is the more pressing/immediate need (it is) that we'll likely have to address in the 2nd round, then by the 3rd round aren't we entering into developmental range by default? Maybe there's a guy who's at least close to starter level that falls to the top of 4, but all you can do is hope for that, right?

An addendum to this conversation I should have remembered yesterday.

The Ron Wolf guys DO have a track record of finding quality offensive linemen in the mid rounds. Again, not something I would bet on (Reggie McKenzie was terrible at it with the Raiders. But who knows how much of that was on him there) but it is worth acknowledging.

Obviously not confirmed, but fairly good chance (50%), we had Lawrence in for a 30 Visit. If the 49ers and Seahawks are in on him, easy to see why the Titans may be as well.

Tate, lawrence, hecht/tiernan. Get it done borgo.

Interesting that they are sniffing around these move TEs.

Should it be?  They really didn’t replace Okwonko and his skill set.
