With the poor supply of available QBs this year, some team(s) will make a run at Jones, even with his injury. It's not a risk Ballard can take. ctm Posted February 24 Report Share Posted February 24 (edited) QB franchise tag 47M WR tag 28M Colts cap space 35M Pittman cap savings if cut 24M deadline for tag 3/3/26 legal tampering starts 3/9/26 Signing Jones and tagging Pierce will eat up all the available, 35M, cap space and probably more before free agency starts. Ballard almost has to make some other cap moves before then. Signing both of them might get him under the 35M available.
