No idea where this nugget fits so thought it might worth starting a thread for all Titans non HC offseason discussion.   This was meant to happen last offseason but Sweat never showed up so

Who will we draft? The answer has been there the whole time.

That’s a lot of hooch

@TitansGuru any chance we can adjust your trade to a titans offseason tracker? Would help understand things like the Ridley restructure and Sweat trades for those of us who missed whatever threads they were part of.

I see Kwitty Paye or Mafe, cheaper.  I think he grows into a good edge.  But is he a differenc emaker no.  Is a good rotational fit for the next three yrs.  Yes. Feel the same way about Harrell.  Johnson I think has some elite skills.  I'd sign him to a three yr deal on the cheap because a yr with Salaeh he will be asking for 30 mil a yr.  Give him a 3 yr 60 mill deal now.

I see a guy that's way underdeveloped and lacks speed and strength.

Huh? He is bad in space/pursuit but he is plenty fast going forward. Idk where you get he is weak either. He sets a strong edge even with poor technique, if he gets that down he could be very effective.

Maybe he looks like that because he's so undeveloped

He’s a good fit for Saleh’s D. Hopefully he will develop into an impact player.

Was a raw developmental prospect that got drafted higher than he should of but hopefully he becomes a rotational contributor. I just don't see him being a long term starter for this team.

Its some of that and some of his skill set. He was never the nost nibble in college but he looked exceptionally stiff off the ball here. The deleopment is also a big thing, it doesn't matter how strong you are if you dont understand and use leverage. When you dont have many moves or a plan of attack its also very easy to counter you.

He may take some time but I think he will be a solid edge.

They drafted him based on measurables and what he did at the Senior Bowl after he was a late convert to the position. I was fine with the pick but it certainly was a risk. Hopefully it pays off.

But as they are looking now, he will have plenty of opportunity to play this year to show what he can do.
